I will probably get a lot of hate for this. I'm just really disappointed with this comeback. I've never replayed an Ateez comeback so few times because by the first two listens, I was already bored of it. Even the bsides aren't great to me either, which is rare. I know this is subjective but I feel sad seeing this decline from Ateez. It really feels like they're going for more trendy, short term hits, but with very little effort. Also, the line distribution has somehow gotten worse. It really does feel like they're just phoning it in right now and I don't know if this is intentional or if it's due to exhaustion. I don't think everything needs to be grand, loud and greater than life, but I do think there is a uniqueness to how Ateez carries themselves and I personally think it's completely lost on this comeback. I think back to Wave and how much more I still enjoy that song because despite aiming to be a summer pop hit, it still very much carries that Ateez flare that makes them special. I hope you all understand my position. I'm not trying to be a hater by any means. Maybe that’s an unpopular opinion considering everything that’s happened, but I truly believe the girls will do well. The solo era showed that they enjoy what they’re doing and are always trying to improve. Lisa and Jennie at Coachella are great examples of that. They were recently seen in LA and heading out for the tour, so I’m sure it’s going to be a great one, and I believe all the criticism during the Born Pink Tour will be used as motivation to show how much they’ve grown. My only concern is about the comeback. It won’t be easy to promote a song or an album during a tour, not to mention that Rosé will be releasing a new solo track and Jisoo has her acting commitments. Should we be worried over ador looking for boys in the age bracket 2006 and later for their new boy group? If my math is right those the oldest trainee in 2006 is 19. I think it's been a STACKED year overall, but my favorites (in no particular order) are probably ARTMS, Jin, Onewe, BSS, Le Sserafim, P1Harmony, Chung Ha, Just B, and ZB1! I say this as an ot7. Yall have lost the plot and are now crazy like ot6 and the solos. Cause what are you doing tagging and harassing seughan's new colleagues and friends in your ot7 posts. Basically saying I don't want seughan to be in a group with you and I don't want y'all to move on. I was all for the protests when it was about legal action and resintatement up to a certain point. We are past that point now. Seughan is acting as a indie artist and building his own team, ruats the point of xoul. He has a vision and message he wants to get across. He has friends he is dry excited to work with who are also excited too. Do you know how disrespectful it is to not only tag his new colleagues but also demand he go back to his old group in a toxic center with toxic fans and no musical direction where they're controlled like dolls, and that he drop his new journey and new friends who he loves and who love him. A small managemrn team who are letting seunghan do his vision. The audacity, the shame, the delusion. The solos were right about y'all. I don't want to be associated with y'all so I'm no longer calling myself an ot7. Seunghan will always be in riize and it will always be his righrful place, but now life has him on a different path with a new dream with new people. He WANTS to do this. This isn't the situation anymore where he's forces to do a solo. He's actively creating a brand and becoming the artist he wants with people he wants to be with. Yoongi's first proper public appearance in almost 2 years was genuinely so perfect. It was at his member's final concert and on his group's 12th debut anniversary. With everything that happened last august I genuinely was concerned on what his comeback would look like. Would he be more reserved, would the media continue to hound him, would he have to move quietly, would he keep a low profile, would he even take a small break and while I genuinely was hoping none of these would happen there was still a lingering fear. Seeing him there looking genuinely happy, singing and dancing in a stadium filled with people who love him literally felt like this huge sigh of relief that he was doing okay. I cant wait to finally hear from him and hope he and the rest of bts too are able to put everything in the past and move on. Seeing someone who's music helped me through my worst doing well and being at ease is all i want.
