Idk if it's the right flair but yeah. I could just be telling a story to another kpop fan - in this instance, my father - and someone has to butt in like "oOH iTs AlL fAkE fOr vIeWs aNd yAlL aRe sTuPiD eNoUgh tO bElIeVe iT" Literally a while ago at breakfast i was telling my father about Yoongi and his donation and everything, then my grandfather butted in like "it's all just pr, it's not real and you're stupid to believe it" and i was like ???? I wasn't even talking to you?? And a while ago, i was learning Bad desire by enhypen, and i showed the dance practice video to one of my other grandfathers and told him "I'm learning this". He then proceeded to go on a whole rant on how even the dance practice isn't real and they've edited it so it's perfect and in sync. Like, god forbid that people actually have talent đđ And lastly - lipstick. WHAT IS IT WITH EVERYONE GOING ON ABOUT MALE IDOLS WEARING LIPSTICK. Once, i was trying to put on chapstick and my grandfather just spawns like "ooo you want pink lips like your BTS boys haha" and i was just like đđđ. Then at breakfast (again) i was talking about how BTS next comeback will only be in 2026 and i said "they need time for their hair to grow back right" and my grandfather butts in AGAIN "Why can't they wear wigs? They wear so much lipstick, wigs shouldn't be a problem" The joke was kinda funny at first, but going on about it after YEARS is really not it. Anyways. Thanks for attending my ted talk lol. submitted by /u/No-Caramel-9325 [link] [comments]
I like covers in general, regardless of ggs or bgs, but this category specifically gotta be one of my favorite things about Kpop. Some of my top performances are: BEAST Fiction cover by ITZY Ryujin, STAYC Isa, i-dle Minnie, IZ*ONE Chaeyeon EXO Love Shot cover by Le Sserafim (Kazuha legit changed lives in that red suit) Taemin Move cover by TWICE Momo, Mina, Chaeyoung, Dahyun Stray Kids Thunderous cover by NMIXX Honorable mentions: Taemin Criminal cover by IZ*ONE Chaeyeon (it's actually criminal that it only lasted 1min) Mamamoo Boy Group Songs Medley What are some of your favorite covers? submitted by /u/beelzebub2099 [link] [comments]
We know itâs never gonna happen (unless we get pandemic 2.0) so letâs play delulu and make our own dream line-up anyway. I would LOVE to see the following groups on Kingdom: Got7 - 3rd gen rep Enhypen and Treasure - very different from each other. The song swaps will go hard MonstaX Boynextdoor Cravity - they won road to kingdom. They should get to be here submitted by /u/fostermonster555 [link] [comments]
When will people realize that Bangchan doesnât play about stray kids. Heâs already gone off in a live last month about respect, so I donât understand why people still choose to try him. Man when I tell you I like this man more and more each day. Today around midnight pst, Chan posted on bubble saying: âstay_central get your facts straight. Donât spread misinformation thanks đâ âEh Iâm not mad lolâ âJust tryna fix thingsâ âAnyways it was Hans birthday and itâs Felixâs nowâ âGo give em lots of love!â âHuh?â âYouâre not going to because youâre my solo StanâŠ?â âThen donât bother stanning me lolâ âDiabolical lolâ âOh now Iâm getting kinda madâ I love this!! There has never been a place for akgaes in the kpop community and itâs amazing to have an idol actually put them on blast. I donât know if someone actually sent him a reply saying that or if he had seen what was going on on Twitter and set up a way to bring up, but either way Iâm glad he said something about it. And stay_central was found to be a YouTube account that posts live translations and reels about stray kids. Typical brainrot âinfoâ vids you see when scrolling. Iâm not sure which soecific video Chan was calling out, but I assume itâs the one that talks about hyunjin almost joining a cult. The craziest part is that the channel was liking comment a talking tish about Chan. Chan came back around 6 hours later and said this: âIâm really grateful that some people shower me with lots of loveâŠâ âBut letâs not hate on the other membersâŠâ âThatâs all I ask forâŠâ âThey saved me and Iâm blessed to have them after all⊠ă â âEy and donât go hating on the YouTube channel I mentioned earlier eitherâ âIn the end we all lack something and weâre all learning no? INCLUDING MEâ âTbh Iâm the one that makes the most mistakes no? Hahahahaâ âI should be the one doing better⊠sighâŠâ âSorry for being so imperfectâŠâ Then he started talking about cameras and pictures, but anyways Iâm glad he spoke up and said something. I hope he didnât get in any trouble over this and that akgaes will just fully unstan after this. We donât need them submitted by /u/CleanPossibility256 [link] [comments]

This gotta be one of my favorite things about Kpop. Some of my top performances by female idols covering male songs/choreos are: EXO Love Shot cover by Le Sserafim (Kazuha legit changed lives in that red suit) BEAST Fiction cover by ITZY Ryujin, STAYC Isa, i-dle Minnie, IZ*ONE Chaeyeon Taemin Move cover by TWICE Momo, Mina, Chaeyoung, Dahyun Stray Kids Thunderous cover by NMIXX Taemin Criminal cover by IZ*ONE Chaeyeon (it's literally criminal for KBS to only give her 1min) What are some of your favorite covers? submitted by /u/beelzebub2099 [link] [comments]
What i mean by that is a song that got bad reception from fans or general Public when it was first released because it was so polarizing but after it got performed people started to changed their minds about the song and finally liked it. I think Gnarly by katseye is the prime example of this that's why i said gnarly treatment. Is there any songs by any groups that got that treatment?? submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]
I need to vent about something Iâve been seeing on Tumblr. Thereâs this page on Tumblr that flat-out refuse to make edits or lockscreens of Chaeyoung. Their âreasonâ? The swastika shirt incident from 2023. Like⊠are we really still on this in late 2025? She already apologized, admitted it was wrong, and deleted the post. She didnât double down, she didnât ignore it, she did what everyone always asks idols to do: acknowledge, apologize, and learn. And look, letâs be real about the context. That shirt wasnât some neo-Nazi merch. It was an old punk aesthetic piece, tied to the Sex Pistols and the whole âshock value/anti-establishmentâ fashion that often used offensive imagery to provoke. That doesnât make it okay, obviously, but itâs important to understand it wasnât Chaeyoung going, âYeah, I love Nazis.â It was her wearing something she likely didnât know the full weight of. âWe have the right not to be comfortable editing pics of someone with that mentality.â What âmentalityâ? Chaeyoung has no ideological connection to Nazism. She apologized and acknowledged her mistake. To say that someone who made a mistake out of ignorance has a âNazi mentalityâ is dishonest and disproportionate. But these admins act like she committed an unforgivable crime and now theyâre on some âmoral missionâ to exclude her forever. They keep bringing it up whenever someone requests a Chaeyoung edit, and it honestly just feels like theyâre enjoying holding onto the drama more than actually caring about what happened. Meanwhile, itâs the fans who lose out. People who like Chaeyoung donât get content because the admins decided to keep punishing her indefinitely. And honestly, itâs not even activism at that point, itâs just bitterness disguised as righteousness. Plenty of idols have made mistakes, apologized, and moved forward. Why is Chaeyoung being singled out like this? If you really canât stand her, fine, just say you donât like her and move on. But stop pretending itâs about âprinciplesâ when sheâs already shown accountability. Itâs exhausting watching this kind of performative grudge-holding. So Verivery posted happy birthday for Minchan on Instagram today and I'm really happy but also so confused. Is this the longest hiatus of any idol? Minchan is one of my ults and I miss him like crazy but I started to figure it was a long shot to hope he would ever come back. But then they posted that. Idk, am I crazy for holding on to hope that he will one day come back to Verivery? And if he doesn't want to or it isn't good for his mental health, that's okay too, I just wish we could know either way. đ„č submitted by /u/Marps95 [link] [comments]
Let's imagine a small K-pop, anime, and K-drama shop in your city, with a cozy space to relax. What would you want to see there? Maybe coffee, ramen, or delicious cookies? Or maybe CD players and wall projectors you can actually use â for example, you buy a CD and listen to it right away while sipping a cup of coffee or tea? CDs, K-pop photo cards, holders, albums, stickers, plushies... all of these are the foundation of a K-pop shop. But maybe you'd like to find something more unique or specific there? submitted by /u/YaoL1920 [link] [comments]

Came across a video on bilibili (sort of Youtube in China) saying Chinese fans are the most miserable because most Kpop idols can't tour in mainland CN. Similar sentiments can be heard from SEA, South American, African, Australasia and some Europe fans. I don't think it has anything with the idols/ companies "ignore" or "skip" any countries, they don't because they obviously can't. Logistics: not every major city has the necessary infrastructure to accommodate the influx of thousands of concert-goers, the stage set and equipments. Transport, schedule, personel, legal issues, all of these require insane amount of planning and coordinating with local promoter and venues. Venues: nobody can just wake up one day and book a random venue, it has to be booked several months before hand. Sometimes people complain about the size of the venues (too big, too small) but appropriate venues are sometimes booked by local sport teams already. Profit: let's face it touring is expensive, if the demand isn't met once investors tend to get cold feet. Tour promoter taking a chunk out of the revenue isn't helping either. Personally, i don't want my ult group to visit my country because of the profound lack of infrastructure. I understand that it hurts, but that's another thing we have to accept at the end of the day. submitted by /u/lu_tl97 [link] [comments]
You know that innocent but chaotic stage when you first fall into K-pop? Letâs expose our baby stan delusions together đ Weâve all been there, scrolling YouTube at 2am, watching random edits, believing every wild thing without questioning it and suddenly you think you know everything about idols and the industry. Then months (or years) later you look back like âWow, I was so delusional đâ I feel like every K-pop fan has gone through this clown phase, and honestly, itâs one of the most fun parts of the journey. Those silly beliefs we once held now make the best stories to laugh about. And letâs be real, baby stans have some of the most creative imaginations out there đ So tell me, what are the funniest or weirdest things you used to believe when you were new to K-pop? Spill your baby stan confessions below, letâs make a thread full of nostalgia and collective clownery~đ©· submitted by /u/LunaVixen7 [link] [comments]
