So over the last two weeks or so I've been in the process of changing emails and everything that comes with that, as I save videos and photos I couldn't help but come across various screenshots from Vlive, including idols liking my comments on IG like 24K Cory, Lucente Taejun and MVP but this also included lots from VAV Ayno and St.Van!. During this I found some of my older playlist I made when I was younger and in school, this included a lot of VAV and I remembered why I fell so in love with them in the first place and genuinely love their smiles and laughter. (Although I will fully admit I got confused with the western boy band I liked at the time called The Vampz so when people talked about VAV fandom for a while I was confused lol.) Within these playlists I found a lot of songs with lyrics and melodies I surprisingly actually still remember but it also reminded me why I fell so in love with VAV back then (yes even despite their werewolf phase) as I listened to Flower (You) https://youtu.be/G-kAKbmB2NY . But they geniunely seem so sweet, kind hearted and well natured/good guys. St.Van (who's name is Lee Geum Hyuk) talented vocals in general deserve so much love, he carries his tune so well and as I currently listen to his cover here https://youtu.be/qc3Xgik6E5I & https://youtu.be/DTx6_9yJIKU, I love how he carries himself as an artist. I think Ace does a great job at covers to https://youtu.be/KHvwMPxe6as . If you haven't heard of VAV before, here's some of my favourites~ https://youtu.be/0PbVecJZb8Y https://youtu.be/p8h6SUB70c4 https://youtu.be/CRFPo21qN6M https://youtu.be/VOCRCbuaTxU submitted by /u/Responsible-Box2876 [link] [comments]
When checking out a k-pop group, what moment did you latch on to that made you decide right then and there that this would be your bias? Included in photos: 1. Mia from Everglow - Slay 2. Jeonghan from Seventeen - Maestro 3. Momo from Twice - Likey submitted by /u/therealKittyKatBug [link] [comments]
HIghs are still missing rollercoaster studio version, the closest we’ve come to it is a vlive concert archive (pledis girlz era). i asked eunwoo thru insta qna if there’s any unreleased songs and she said around 7 albums worth, full choreo planned. have there been any leaks in the past? submitted by /u/nicojpeg [link] [comments]
Not the most famous but the one that screams "THAT'S IT! THAT'S THEM IF THEY WERE A SONG!" And why you think so of course! :) I'll start: ATEEZ is The Real. The lyrics perfectly describe the group per se. Examples are "We live passionately but have more humbleness and kindness the anyone else" that describe how on the stage they may seems quite 'a lot' and 'scary' but are actually 8 kind and easygoing dudes, or "Costantly rolling an empty wagon that is so noisy. I frown my eyebrow but greeting are 90 degrees" joking and humouring about people calling their music 'noisy'. submitted by /u/leosoleo [link] [comments]

Did y'all see the Buzzfeed Puppy Interview? Lara has been super open about loving Jimin for a while, Sophia with BTS too. They're all signed to HYBE & said BTS is a big reason they're even there. So does anyone think any members will collab with a single member like they said Jungkook for example or BTS/KATSEYE? Don't come for me please 😭 submitted by /u/Invisible_Rain11 [link] [comments]
I’m talking Godly, 10/10 hit TTs and every other song they release is unlistenable garbage, or TTs that make you go “yeah, that’s good I guess” and aren’t super memorable, but the rest of their discography is really solid/great. From a promotional standpoint (sales, music shows) probably the first option is better, but from a concert-attending or overall listening experience I would personally rather have the latter. I feel like if you’re trying to just get GP attention, focusing on only the titles makes sense, but if you only make a couple comebacks a year I don’t know if that is that enough good music to keep the fanbase engaged. What do you all think? Would either survive in the long term? I was going to put bad TTs for the second option, but I felt like that would make the group just fail because no one would bother to listen to the b-sides. I don't mean simply "underrated" songs, I mean ones that for some reason no one talks about (inside and outside your fandom) but are incredibly good songs. Also why you think they are "hidden"? Let me know your thoughts! :) submitted by /u/leosoleo [link] [comments]
Not exclusively on here, but there seems to be a widely spread notion that newer idols(late 4th gen to 5th gen) seem to getting worse at their jobs in comparison to the their predecessors but I think that's false. Partly due to nostalgia, kpop stans have a rather idolatry views of earlier gens of 2nd gen, 3rd gen and early 4th gen and would always rank them above 5th gen which I don't really have a problem with since I share the same sentiment but when it comes to the job of being a Kpop idol itself? Nothing has really changed imo, there are still an influx of potential vocal powerhouses and promising rappers in 5th gen, basic performance fundamentals are still also present, you can put a lot of these idols in an earlier gen group and they won't look lost. However, I think the opinion of idols getting worse in 5th gen comes from the change in presentation that the industry has experienced recently, things like dance focused performances(that can come off as boring), lipsynching being far too common and the lack of popular variety shows to help these idols to promote themselves better and in a more genuine way. These changes in presentation has led to people being very dismissive of or bored by the current gen and what they have to offer, therefore, lowering general interest in the industry. So I think the industry has gotten worse but not the idols that are debuting in the current gen, it's just that people interchange these scenarios but that's just my opinion really submitted by /u/Zestyclose-Bridge830 [link] [comments]
I know that we're in boys ll planet era now, but let's remember these 3 survival shows, let's remember about the talented trainees that unfortunately didn't debut, mine is: • Kang hyunwoo (project 7) • Syo (starlight boys) • Kim joohyoung (universe league) [he is my top, i love him so much, he's an ace] • Duan xingxing (starlight boys) • Abe yura (project 7) • i don't remember his name, but he is a talented rapper (not yechan), he is a blonde guy with a band-aid on the cheek I didn't put boys planet (the one that debuted zb1) because i didn't watched it submitted by /u/Nai_multistan [link] [comments]
Title is a bit dramatic but I didn't know how to call it otherwise lol. But for people who do not know who Trainee A was, they were originally a pre-debut group under Bighit set to debut likely in 2022 somewhere. The line up existed out of: Leo, James, JJ, Sangwon, Yorch, Jihoon and Woochan. The group were really close to debuting, but it fell apart when Leo (the ace of the group) left due to a scandal involving violent lyrics. This has led Bighit to completely revise the project causing the trainees to be cut. The members of Trainee A have slowly being popping up in interesting places to say the least; - JJ (one of the dancers) is currently part of SM's newest group of trainees and will highly likely be debuting in their newest boygroup - Jihoon debuted in TWS under Pledis - Sangwon and Leo are currently in boyplanet 2 with Sangwon being highly favored and a frontrunner - Woochan recently debuted under TBL as part of ADP - James is part of the upcoming bighit boygroup, he is the only original Trainee A member who remained in Bighit. - Yorch is currently a member POW, a boygroup under a tiny label. It's interesting how everything would've turned out had Trainee A not disbanded due to controversy, a lot of the upcoming big groups would've not looked the way they are now. I do wonder how the group would have looked like if the project didn't fall apart, they had a star lineup there. There's are still a lot of vids of all the trainees hanging out and practicing together, it will be really interesting media to look back on in the future when all of them officially debut. submitted by /u/Frequent_Shop [link] [comments]

I was hardcore fan of KPOP since 2017 until 2022. The best times. BTS got me in. MIC drop sounded a banger to me. Then explored other groups and boy the musics were fantastic! The visuals, choreographs, stage performances, their own reality shows, dance practices man i loved it all. BTS wasn’t overhyped back then, but it was certainly getting a lot popular. Their music is still fascinating to me. Other groups like EXO, GOT7, MONSTA X, Super junior, ikon, Astro, Wanna One, 2pm, Seventeen, Big bang, stray kids, WINNER, The Boyz, Pentagon, JBJ, X1, ONEUS you name it i was fan of it all. NCT kept growing but i think when i first started Lucas joined. Miss those days when i used to wake up and i watched all those songs and wondered why didn’t i find these sooner. Heck i even thought Taekook was real and Blackpink and BTS dated each other. Lmao. I listened to girl groups too. Blackpink, Twice, Mamamoo, Dreamcatcher, Apink, Gfriend, Loona,G idle, Girls generation and many more. Loved all of them. The peak year in my opinion was 2018-2022. Every song was a hit. Every show mainly Produce 101 S2 was a hit. M2 relay dances were so fun to watch. Until after pandemic. I am not sure where it all went wrong for me. Too many new fans started overhyping BTS and Blackpink. In my personal opinion, BTS deserved it. But honestly, Blackpink didn’t yet. DDDD was super nice, and the songs before that. But after that Blackpink didn’t really gave energy, it seemed like they didn’t love performing. At that point i grew out of my shipping phase or saying the oppa noona phase. I just loved them and listened to their songs with excitement. Every groups. But man the new fans started to put other groups down. Saying only BTS or Blackpink is the best others are bs. It annoyed the shit out of me. I loved other groups too. As much as it made me proud of their accomplishments, it made me sad that the biased fans put the other groups down and they deserved the praise too. I hope other old multi stans agree with me. Gradually over the next years, new groups came. But somehow the songs weren’t that much of a bop anymore. Aespa was way overhyped, there were other groups too. BTS stopped singing korean songs and focused on more english pop, it kind of made me miss the old songs. Blackpink barely dropped anything, Exo too, GOT7 left JYP, Wonho and Soojin and Lucas left the groups for the rumours. KPOP wasn’t like before anymore. I didn’t like Butter or Dynamite that much, heard it and enjoyed it but it wasn’t even on the level of Boy with Luv or Fake love. And the new fans just kept on bragging and overhyping. And then along the way, i stopped staning. I wasn’t an ARMY or Blink or Ahgase anymore. I was just a fan and an old lover of Kpop. I think the biggest reason or flaw of BTS or Blackpink rn is their new fans. And overall the whole kpop is leaning towards how much short clothes they can wear or how many English lines they can add. I might get backlashes for this. But it’s fine I can fight. I still listen to old songs and try out the new songs here and then. I still watch RUN BTS whenever i feel down. I love those boys. So happy for them. But i honestly want them to come back and release the korean bops they did. Together. I miss the old K-pop’s. 2012-2021 were the best years of kpop and it’s the truth. I hope there are some multi stans who can agree with me. My advice for the new fans is don’t overhype it, listen to other group’s songs too, BTS or Blackpink aren’t everything. BTS did make Kpop popular but trust me the old songs are better compared to the new ones. You might think it’s nostalgia but really, the lyrics were so deep. Don’t insult other bands. Try other bands, they are so good too. submitted by /u/herte18 [link] [comments]

So I watched Kpop Demon Hunters yesterday. Thought it was fine, funny at times, with pretty nice animation and style. If you want my opinion: I thought the plot was rushed a bit and the characters's backstories felt a little under developed and the emotional beats didn't quite deliver as I would've liked. Anyways, I personally didn't vibe with the music too much, except for Golden, which reminded me of IVE's I Am (a song I absolutely love). To my point, Soda Pop reminded me of a Pepsi ad from a few years back that suddenly sprung into my head. Both kinda share that over produced and commercialized pop high gloss sheen. If you liked the song, and would like to explore other Kpop songs that have a similar vibe, I have some recommendations: * Astro - Candy Sugar Crush * Astro - Hide & Seek * Victon - I'm Fine * ZeroBaseOne - Feel the Pop * ZeroBaseOne - Jelly Pop submitted by /u/Ahoy_ahoy_atiny [link] [comments]
