2.704. #RUN SEOKJIN EP. TOUR is definitely hands down the best concert i've ever been and i'm not even attending

  • reddit.com language

yesterday (28/6/25) was the first day of kim seokjin of bts solo tour. it was heavily related to his variety show, run jin thats kind of a branch from the og show, run bts. when it was first announced, i was kinda ???? like how can u make a concert like a variety show where the attenders can be involved MORE than singing fanchants and cheering but god he proved me wrong. the way the concert started without vcr but instead just a random countdown that made armys panicked and all of them just started to wear the poncho seokjin provided (with his face on it) was so funny and suddenly he appeared on stage and said 'DOJEON!' (which is his trademark in run jin and everything wont count if he didnt say it) and he pushed a button on stage. after experiencing dday concert, hots concert and now run seokjin concert, i realised that bts really deserve the title as the biggest group in the world. they sang their heart out while engaging with everyone in the audience and also with online viewers. no one was left out. truly felt like i was there even when im cheering in my room on my bed. after he sang the opening songs, the first activity he did was connect, army (if im not mistaken) which he gave armys 3 clothing sets to choose from for him to change into for his next stage. it actually depended on how well seokjin can guess the words given to him (basically its like charades, army will act and he will guess. he literally pulled out a binoculars on stage😭) (the costume that he changed into was a taekwondo outfit he wore in ep 34 of run jin) in between of changing clothes, instead of vcr he made a karaoke session for army and the song was chosen by the roulette tht he spun before he went back stage. the second game he did was him guessing what song army sang (if he gets it wrong he will be hit by a tray) and being the angel he is, he actually purposely got the last question wrong so he got hit by the tray to make armys happy. the other thing that made me amazed was when he played the piano for two ballad songs with zero backing track. it was only the piano and his voice. so good!! i do think that he was inspired by coldplay concert (which he attended as a guest for 2 days) and im so glad he did it this way. yena being the concert guest was also a very significant moment for me. as someone who knew her since pd48, never in my life i imagine her and a bts member collabing and perform together on stage! her voice and seokjins are blended so good and the chemistry was off the roof!! the last thing i would like to point is when seokjin came off stage to let one army sing the opening of moon. the moment itself was so wholesome because the army was so nervous so she kinda slipped while singing, but instead of laughing seokjin gently encouraged her to sing again with more confidence. hobi, tae and joon going to the concert and having fun with each other also a plus for me. i just love them so much. honestly i cried like 6 times yesterday because i feel so touched, so proud and a little jealous because i didnt get to experience it first hand. there's another concert today too and i cant wait to have fun like yesterday too! this concert is so seokjin-esque and as a seokjin biased since 2016-2017, it was like a dream come true. i remember sometimes being a little disappointed when his line distribution was on the lower side but now he's having his solo concert tour. im so looking forward to upcoming bts albums and tour as ot7 too. submitted by /u/nininwa [link] [comments]

2.705. What are some kpop songs that give disbandment vibes

I was thinking like songs that have a bittersweet vibe to them they symbolize hope, or living life for the last time they kind of sound like a kiss off to fans. submitted by /u/TastyCookie23900 [link] [comments]

2.706. who are THE most ethereal idols in your opinion?

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Basically idols that are so uniquely gorgeous and stunning that go beyond the uniform standard of what typical idols look like. For me it’s TXT Hueningkai. Even his full name sounds kinda “royal” like a prince’s name (Kai Kamal Huening) I understand when fans mention being so stunned by him when they meet him in person others: Twice Sana, Le sserafim Yunjin, Zb1 Zhanghao, Bts V submitted by /u/DullMaintenance8958 [link] [comments]

2.708. There’s nothing wrong with stanning an idol for their personality/behavior

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is a response to antis who judge “talentless” idols and wonder why they have fans. I’ve seen a lot of comments like “Why does X have fans? They can’t dance/sing and has zero stage presence.” But what if these idols have a likable personality? What if these idols are nice to fans/everybody? What if these idols are humble and does a lot of charity work and save orphans from burning houses? I totally support idols who are good people even if they are not the most talented and I can understand why they have a fanbase. submitted by /u/taejinkook28 [link] [comments]

2.709. SM’s strong vocal reputation seems to have significantly influenced the way many fans perceive vocal talent

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

SM def has some of the best vocalists in Kpop, but not every member in every SM group is on that level. Just bc a group is from SM doesn’t mean every member can sing like a main vocal. Their main vocalists are one of the best, but they’re not no.1 in the industry or the best of their generation. In H.O.T., S.E.S., and Fly To The Sky, only Kangta, Bada, and Hwanhee really stood out. The others could sing, but they weren’t anything special. The only SM group where every member had strong enough vocals to be main/lead vocalists were TVXQ (OT5) and the only SM group where every member had strong enough vocals to be main vocalists is CSJH The Grace. Even then, Sohyang, Lena Park, Naul, and Ock Joohyun from Fin.K.L are more noteworthy compared to Bada or Hwanhee. Haeri (Davichi), Lee Younghyun (Big Mama), and Sandeul (B1A4) are stronger vocalists than Ryeowook, Luna, Taeyeon, Jonghyun, Onew, Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yesung. Lee Younghyun is about even with Kyuhyun, and Jung Dongha is better than him. Hyolyn (SISTAR) is better than Luna, Taeyeon, Jonghyun, Onew, Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yesung. All of Super Junior (OT15) can sing, but only three or four members really stand out (if you include KRY and Zhoumi). SNSD is a strong group vocally, but only about half are truly great singers, with Taeyeon being the clear standout. SHINee has an excellent vocal line as well, but it’s mostly Jonghyun and Onew who carry the weight. Everyone in f(x) can hold a tune, but Luna is the only one who is exceptional. Big Mama as a group is vocally stronger than TVXQ, CSJH, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, and f(x). Ailee, Shannon Williams, Uji (BESTie), and Dia (Kiss&Cry) are all better than Wendy. Ailee and Shannon also have stronger vocals than Chen. EXO has good vocals across the board, but only Chen, D.O., and Baekhyun are truly exceptional. Even then, Eunkwang (BTOB), Dohyuk, Uji, Dia, Shannon, and Ailee can outsing D.O. and Baekhyun. Roy Kim, Seunghwan, and Rockhyun are on a similar level with them. Seungkwan (Seventeen), Minseok (Melomance), Hweseung (N.Flying), Janghyun (Vromance), Inseong (SF9), Hyukjin (FAVE1), Jaehwan (Wanna One), Yonghoon (ONEWE), Jamie and Yerin (15&), Haena (Kiss&Cry), Solji (EXID), Solar (Mamamoo), Linzy (Fiestar), Kim Dohee/High.D (Sonamoo), Yuju (GFRIEND), Bohyung (Spica), and Sejeong (I.O.I/Gugudan) are just as good as Taeil and Doyoung and all of them are stronger vocalists than Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Chenle, Haechan, and Renjun. As full groups, Mamamoo, BTOB, Kiss&Cry, and 15& are stronger vocally than Red Velvet, NCT 127, and NCT DREAM. Parc Jaejung (MSG Wannabe), Minwook (Newkidd), Mingyu (DKZ), KCM (MSG Wannabe), and Teo (DKB) are stronger than Xiaojun. Lee Mujin, Jongho (ATEEZ), Woobin (Cravity), Jooyeon (Xdinary Heroes), Jaeyun (TO1), and Junhyeok (TNX) are about equal to Xiaojun in terms of vocal skill. Nayul and Yerim (12dal), Lily and Haewon (NMIXX), Jungwoo (BVNDIT), and Swan (CRAXY) all have better vocals than Ningning. Seungeon (EVNNE) is better than Jaehee, and Taerae (ZB1) is right up there with him. In fact, Taerae has stronger vocals than Sohee. Jaehee is arguably the second strongest vocalist in 5th gen after Seungeon. Sohee is in top 5. As for H2H, I need to wait for a few months before I can comment. I'm tired of Pink Bloods constantly trying to downplay amazing vocalists that aren't from SM. It's true that SM has the best vocals among the Big 4 but that doesn’t mean they are the best in the entire industry. There are idols that are from mid sized or small companies/lesser known idols that are better than them. Pink Bloods on Reddit don't want to admit that NMIXX is better than Aespa in terms of vocals. submitted by /u/__beryl [link] [comments]

2.712. I forgot how much I loved VAV and their vocals and stunning smiles.

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

So over the last two weeks or so I've been in the process of changing emails and everything that comes with that, as I save videos and photos I couldn't help but come across various screenshots from Vlive, including idols liking my comments on IG like 24K Cory, Lucente Taejun and MVP but this also included lots from VAV Ayno and St.Van!. During this I found some of my older playlist I made when I was younger and in school, this included a lot of VAV and I remembered why I fell so in love with them in the first place and genuinely love their smiles and laughter. (Although I will fully admit I got confused with the western boy band I liked at the time called The Vampz so when people talked about VAV fandom for a while I was confused lol.) Within these playlists I found a lot of songs with lyrics and melodies I surprisingly actually still remember but it also reminded me why I fell so in love with VAV back then (yes even despite their werewolf phase) as I listened to Flower (You) https://youtu.be/G-kAKbmB2NY . But they geniunely seem so sweet, kind hearted and well natured/good guys. St.Van (who's name is Lee Geum Hyuk) talented vocals in general deserve so much love, he carries his tune so well and as I currently listen to his cover here https://youtu.be/qc3Xgik6E5I & https://youtu.be/DTx6_9yJIKU, I love how he carries himself as an artist. I think Ace does a great job at covers to https://youtu.be/KHvwMPxe6as . If you haven't heard of VAV before, here's some of my favourites~ https://youtu.be/0PbVecJZb8Y https://youtu.be/p8h6SUB70c4 https://youtu.be/CRFPo21qN6M https://youtu.be/VOCRCbuaTxU submitted by /u/Responsible-Box2876 [link] [comments]

2.715. "[group name] is [song]" What's the song that best represents your fav group?

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Not the most famous but the one that screams "THAT'S IT! THAT'S THEM IF THEY WERE A SONG!" And why you think so of course! :) I'll start: ATEEZ is The Real. The lyrics perfectly describe the group per se. Examples are "We live passionately but have more humbleness and kindness the anyone else" that describe how on the stage they may seems quite 'a lot' and 'scary' but are actually 8 kind and easygoing dudes, or "Costantly rolling an empty wagon that is so noisy. I frown my eyebrow but greeting are 90 degrees" joking and humouring about people calling their music 'noisy'. submitted by /u/leosoleo [link] [comments]

Did y'all see the Buzzfeed Puppy Interview? Lara has been super open about loving Jimin for a while, Sophia with BTS too. They're all signed to HYBE & said BTS is a big reason they're even there. So does anyone think any members will collab with a single member like they said Jungkook for example or BTS/KATSEYE? Don't come for me please 😭 submitted by /u/Invisible_Rain11 [link] [comments]

2.718. Would you rather your fave group have comebacks with AMAZING TTs and trash b-sides or simply good TTs with great b-sides?

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’m talking Godly, 10/10 hit TTs and every other song they release is unlistenable garbage, or TTs that make you go “yeah, that’s good I guess” and aren’t super memorable, but the rest of their discography is really solid/great. From a promotional standpoint (sales, music shows) probably the first option is better, but from a concert-attending or overall listening experience I would personally rather have the latter. I feel like if you’re trying to just get GP attention, focusing on only the titles makes sense, but if you only make a couple comebacks a year I don’t know if that is that enough good music to keep the fanbase engaged. What do you all think? Would either survive in the long term? I was going to put bad TTs for the second option, but I felt like that would make the group just fail because no one would bother to listen to the b-sides. I don't mean simply "underrated" songs, I mean ones that for some reason no one talks about (inside and outside your fandom) but are incredibly good songs. Also why you think they are "hidden"? Let me know your thoughts! :) submitted by /u/leosoleo [link] [comments]

2.720. The myth of newly debuting idols being worse than their predecessors

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Not exclusively on here, but there seems to be a widely spread notion that newer idols(late 4th gen to 5th gen) seem to getting worse at their jobs in comparison to the their predecessors but I think that's false. Partly due to nostalgia, kpop stans have a rather idolatry views of earlier gens of 2nd gen, 3rd gen and early 4th gen and would always rank them above 5th gen which I don't really have a problem with since I share the same sentiment but when it comes to the job of being a Kpop idol itself? Nothing has really changed imo, there are still an influx of potential vocal powerhouses and promising rappers in 5th gen, basic performance fundamentals are still also present, you can put a lot of these idols in an earlier gen group and they won't look lost. However, I think the opinion of idols getting worse in 5th gen comes from the change in presentation that the industry has experienced recently, things like dance focused performances(that can come off as boring), lipsynching being far too common and the lack of popular variety shows to help these idols to promote themselves better and in a more genuine way. These changes in presentation has led to people being very dismissive of or bored by the current gen and what they have to offer, therefore, lowering general interest in the industry. So I think the industry has gotten worse but not the idols that are debuting in the current gen, it's just that people interchange these scenarios but that's just my opinion really submitted by /u/Zestyclose-Bridge830 [link] [comments]

2.721. Which other trainees from universe league/project 7/starlight boys would you guys love to see debuting?

I know that we're in boys ll planet era now, but let's remember these 3 survival shows, let's remember about the talented trainees that unfortunately didn't debut, mine is: • Kang hyunwoo (project 7) • Syo (starlight boys) • Kim joohyoung (universe league) [he is my top, i love him so much, he's an ace] • Duan xingxing (starlight boys) • Abe yura (project 7) • i don't remember his name, but he is a talented rapper (not yechan), he is a blonde guy with a band-aid on the cheek I didn't put boys planet (the one that debuted zb1) because i didn't watched it submitted by /u/Nai_multistan [link] [comments]

2.722. The disbandment of Trainee A and its impact on the 5th gen

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Title is a bit dramatic but I didn't know how to call it otherwise lol. But for people who do not know who Trainee A was, they were originally a pre-debut group under Bighit set to debut likely in 2022 somewhere. The line up existed out of: Leo, James, JJ, Sangwon, Yorch, Jihoon and Woochan. The group were really close to debuting, but it fell apart when Leo (the ace of the group) left due to a scandal involving violent lyrics. This has led Bighit to completely revise the project causing the trainees to be cut. The members of Trainee A have slowly being popping up in interesting places to say the least; - JJ (one of the dancers) is currently part of SM's newest group of trainees and will highly likely be debuting in their newest boygroup - Jihoon debuted in TWS under Pledis - Sangwon and Leo are currently in boyplanet 2 with Sangwon being highly favored and a frontrunner - Woochan recently debuted under TBL as part of ADP - James is part of the upcoming bighit boygroup, he is the only original Trainee A member who remained in Bighit. - Yorch is currently a member POW, a boygroup under a tiny label. It's interesting how everything would've turned out had Trainee A not disbanded due to controversy, a lot of the upcoming big groups would've not looked the way they are now. I do wonder how the group would have looked like if the project didn't fall apart, they had a star lineup there. There's are still a lot of vids of all the trainees hanging out and practicing together, it will be really interesting media to look back on in the future when all of them officially debut. submitted by /u/Frequent_Shop [link] [comments]
