They look incredible—that much is undeniable and frankly, shocking. But the concept is painfully unoriginal. It’s an indistinguishable look that every other group has already run into the ground for the past two years. This isn't fresh; it’s Twice copying what's popular and showing up late to the trend. It's a lame, follower vibe from a group that never needed to follow anyone. Coming off the strength of Between 1&2, Ready to Be, and With YOU-th, this feels cheap and tastes sour. It’s infuriating because while the execution is flawless, the idea itself is a tired rehash. submitted by /u/Beginning-Bad2979 [link] [comments]
I just want comebacks, concerts, and a lot of happy sweet heart to heart moments with my biases 😭 I'm simple af. I don't need them to be "The first whatever to perform at so & so" or "The first to do this or that". I don't need them to hang out with Hollywood big shots all the time and not make comebacks lol. I don't need them to be on Jimmy Fallon. I don't need them at Coachella or the VMAs. I need my idols to idol. Heck Taeyeon has never toured here in the states and I still love her. Not many Hollywood big shots know her but hey I still love her submitted by /u/No-Vehicle1562 [link] [comments]

I dunno how this will be taken so please don't take this the wrong way but I've been following wonho for a long time now but it feels like he's not as popular as before. I don't keep up with everything but I just wanted to ask if wonho was still as popular or is he losing relevance. Also if there's any news of more content coming from him or monsta x pls share. submitted by /u/otakus_theory [link] [comments]

Lately, I feel like a lot of new K-Pop groups are starting to blend together. The visuals are polished, the performances are sharp, but the concepts often feel like variations of the same formula. It’s rare to see a debut that genuinely surprises me anymore. So here’s a thought experiment: if you could build a group from scratch, no limits: what kind of group or concept would you create? submitted by /u/Seesawey [link] [comments]
I just watched ALLDAY PROJECT debut staged for their song 'FAMOUS' and as I was watching I thought about the concept and members and the fact that they had 3:2 girl to boy ratio reminded me of the Kdrama 'Part-time Idol' as they also had like three girls and two boys and the like plot reminds me of allday project cuz one of the members had like debuted previously like how one of the members is a well known choreographer. Their debut stage also reminded me a bit of the stage in the show as it was also of a similar layout. *MAYBE SPOILER* The plot is like some producer who disappeared for a long time to like discover himself came back and wanted to create a group and he finds trainees etc and like they face lots of challenges to debut. And the debut was similarish to allday projects debut stage. Btw akmu suhyun is in it Idk if this is just me but its some really random connection I made since i like watched the show in 2021 or smth submitted by /u/moca_zzzin [link] [comments]

I mean, it has been six years since TWICE dropped cute and sweet concept but people are unaware of their ability to pull versatile themes except bubbly sweet one. It is not that the concepts are too edgy or bold but since FANCY, they have tried many different ones. What people (incl. opponents) tend to say is their music quality declined because of the change of concept. submitted by /u/leonardreignn [link] [comments]
Idk if it's just me, but I don't like that it's becoming trendy these days for professional dancers to debut as idols. I'm not talking about like backup dancers becoming idols, I'm talking about like straight up choreographers who already have a large following and social media presence, like Emma and Bailey and I heard that Yumeki might debut??? I'm really into dance so I know they're all famous dancers, and they're all awesome - I'm a big fan.. but sometimes I think about how well can they sing???? I'd just hate to see if the vocal quality also goes down if they start prioritizing super difficult dances. Like to an extent I feel like choreo for singers shouldn't be too hard so they can sing live, so isn't it overkill to have those super powerful dancers if they can't really sing or rap, it just doesn't make sense in my head. But oh well, I don't work in the industry so who am I to judge? submitted by /u/Character_Quiet1393 [link] [comments]
See this is why it's important to have a team to back you up instead of acting like a independent girlboss wannabe, especially if you're a celebrity starting from scratch. Find people to work with you first. Her situation's unfortunate but come on, she should've noticed the weird grammar and fishy email address, not even my grandma would fall for this submitted by /u/thatpetite20yrold [link] [comments]
My unpopular opinion is that in the world of KPOP there are several categories (it doesn't bother me in itself) but there is one that bothers me is that of "ALL-ROUNDER". Because I can understand that some idols are put in the "ACE" category but not in that of "ALL-ROUNDER". Already someone called ALL-ROUNDER (AR) is a person capable of doing everything perfectly (up to composing his own sounds). And an ACE (AE) that may seem similar at first glance does not have this category includes everything except the artistic part of the artist which can be a bonus. But why do I say that? I understand that many people will not agree but in fact it is simply disappointing to see artists with much more talents than the average idols being compared with others much lower. Examples of people that people qualify as AR when they are not: Karina (Aespa) was considered for a very long time (and for some she still is) as an ALL-ROUNDER except that she doesn't really have artistic creativity. Jennie (BP) also except that she co-writes her sounds but it still does not fall into the AR category. Same for Lisa (BP) but she is not good enough as a singer or even composer to be considered an AR. For men there is Kai (Exo) despite the fact that he is gifted in many things does not take away the fact that he is not artistically involved in the creation of his music. Or Jackson (Got7) his composition is very limited. But despite the fact that they are not ALL-ROUNDER does not mean that they are less gifted on the contrary we could very easily qualify them as ACE because artistic involvement is not mandatory. So the real problem in my opinion comes from the fact that we put our artists (which I mentioned above) on the side of people like Han Jisung (Stray Kids), J-hope (BTS), Soyeon (Idle) or even Hwasa de (Mamamoo). These artists are ALL-ROUNDER is from far away. Except that fans like to compare them to people who do not have all the competence to be AR (They put a little all the idols who know how to rap, sing and dance in this category when it should not be the case). And most of the time they choose idols not related to their popularity or even their beauty like Soyeon and Jennie or Hwasa and Lisa. All idols have talents I don't say the opposite but I'm just saying that some don't have enough talent to be considered an ALL-ROUNDER. Otherwise it may give a little scandals because some people are not up to par because they are considered as ALL-ROUNDER (like Jennie at the time). submitted by /u/Alternative_Set_5575 [link] [comments]

Has anyone ever felt Deja Vu when hearing "Lucky Girl Syndrome"? My sister felt it too, like we might have heard the first piece of the song somewhere. Does someone have any idea about it? submitted by /u/FlopffyGrape [link] [comments]

The winner of day 2 part 2 was... IVE (/Iz*One) Wonyoung! This makes her the second member of our group! Today is day 3 part 1 which means the question today is.... who is your CURRENT ult bias? Once again boy group idols, girl group idols, and soloists are allowed. 𑁍𑁍𑁍 ❥︎ Group Name: Twice ❥︎ Members: Felix, Wonyoung, ??, ??, ??, ??, ??, ??, ??, ?? ❥︎ Pre-Debute song: ?? ❥︎ Debute Song: ?? ❥︎ Special Collab: ?? ❥︎ First Album: ?? 𑁍𑁍𑁍 INFO/RULES: ✈Due to people downvoting everyone's comments.. if you want your vote to definitely count make sure to comment your idol, as well as upvoting comments from others that mention them!! ✈︎I do my best to check this through out the day so I can see who's being downvoted and not count the downvotes but I obviously can't soend 24 hours on Reddit so if I miss any votes or make any mistakes I do apologise. ✈Days where idols are chosen will be repeated so we will end up with 10 members in total at the end. Please only choose one idol to comment otherwise your comments won't count. Also if you comment the same idol multiple times only one comment counts, this will be the one I see first and also means votes on your other comments are not counted. This is purely to try and make it fair for everyone who wants there idol to be picked! Every idol also automatically gets 1 vote from myself! submitted by /u/xunyomi [link] [comments]
There needs to stop being so much hate on a male idol making a dance more masculine. First off they could have been taught that way and secondly they might not feel comfortable dancing more feminine. Yes there are male idols that are very comfortable dancing that way, such as Changbin, but not everyone is. Why did Jay get hate for dancing with Katseye, it makes no sense. In the grand scheme it not not a big deal, just as if a female idol feminizes a boy group dance. Just let people dance how they want to. Dance challenges are supposed to be fun and not about if they do a dance perfectly or the way you want them to. submitted by /u/ExoticResident7359 [link] [comments]
