Can we pressure JYP to do something about LiveNation after Stray Kids' DC concert?

I'm a Baltimore resident who couldn't go bc of my work schedule. But like, our trash collection has been on modified schedule for the past few weeks minimum bc the heat is an active danger to city workers' health. Hell, all of DMV has been dealing with 100⁰F weather for the past few weeks. So hosting a concert in this situation was already negligence towards the health of everyone in the venue. The water situation is gross negligence. So, here's the deal: JYP site has a contact form on their site. Use the "reporting issues on business ethics" option and write about your experience in DC. If you have footage and/or medical treatment records, offer to supply them. Mention that the concert has made local news that are Google indexed. Describe the actions of these partners as "damaging to the brand and grounds for personal injury lawsuits in US" to trip JYP lawyers' spidey senses. Live Nation is a monopoly, so they can prob eat the personal injury lawsuits from concert attendees. But we can try to pressure the label into pursuing legal action against them and stadium management. And maybe they can make Live Nation compensate DC ticket holders. submitted by /u/Unheroic_ [link] [comments]

1.785. Watch me outsing them SM vocalists

I sang half of them lines cuz it's a duet, you can duet me on Smule sing with me ect. Anyways, watch me outsing them vocalists with belts, whistles and extremely complex riffsnruns. Yeah I'm flexing, Gospel background btw. Enjoy. PS: Some flat notes and incomplete runs because it's raw unautotuned and I didn't bother wasting my braincells to make it perfect or intentional. 1.786. Brutally honest comments you’ve heard from non-Kpop friends or family?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This could be a spicier topic so let’s keep it respectful please and try not to be offended!! Let’s chat in good faith and take all of these comments with a sense of humor, cuz we all know those outside of the kpop sphere just don’t get it like we do ;) Has a non-kpop fan friend or family member ever commented on something within kpop without a filter, whether it’s good or bad? Because they come from an outside perspective, in my experience they tend to be more brutally honest lol… For example: My non-kpop friend said kpop boys are not manly-looking enough for her so I took that as a challenge to find one she’d find attractive. I showed her a pic of San and she said “no he’s ugly” and I nearly cried lmao. 😭 she was exaggerating cuz she’s my bff but it hurt my soul. Same friend, who is Chinese and knows of Lay from a Chinese non-kpop perspective, described him as cringe and dumb. 😭 Neutral comment from another friend: “who’s that vampire?” (Referring to Vernon in a stage performance. Lol idk why.) Showed another friend the mv for Aju Nice: (referring to Jun) “he looks like he’s trying to cosplay a white guy.” Me, Jun biased: that’s just what he looks like 😠 My mom: “he’s cute (referring to Jin in Dope mv) but I can’t really tell them apart.” submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]

1.788. Yumeki is my bias in Boys Planet 2 and here’s why more people should support him.

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Yes, I know he’s already made a name for himself as a choreographer he’s worked with multiple idols and groups. Realistically, he has the credentials to be sitting on the judge panel, not competing as a trainee. But then I found out that he’s always dreamed of becoming an idol, not just staying behind the scenes. That really made me respect him even more. Also , let’s talk about the age thing. Yumeki is 25. That is not old in idol years, especially when you consider how experienced, skilled, and passionate he is. I don’t understand why some people rush to support 14–15-year-old kids who are still figuring themselves out, but ignore someone like Yumeki who is more than ready to debut. He deserves just as much support, if not more. Age shouldn’t be a barrier talent, drive, and heart matter more. Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts. Who’s your bias in Boys Planet 2 so far? Curious to hear who everyone’s rooting for! submitted by /u/Renebae1991 [link] [comments]

1.790. What's something you wish you favorite group would stop doing?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

We all love our fav groups alright? But let's be real rn, what's something they do that icks you no matter what. I mean, we certainly can look away when we need to and they don't really have to change it for us lol, but when you see it.. you cringe nonetheless. I'll start. This goes for a lot of boygroups (unfortunately), but the group I stan also does this. It's when they change the dance to be more "manly" when they're collabing with girl groups. Like.. embrace the choreo please 😭. It's just a dance. Dancing like how they do aint gonna take away your masculinity. It's literally more fun to see male idols embracing the choreo like a boss. submitted by /u/Apprehensive-Turn230 [link] [comments]

1.791. Which idols are most likely to become actors/actresses?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I am kinda curious. From 3rd gen to 4th and newer gen K-pop groups like SEVENTEEN, NCT, TWICE, Stray Kids,... which idols do you think have the potential to become actors/actresses? Like... I know Dahyun from TWICE is the leading female in You Are the Apple of My Eye, and Jun from 17 is an actor in China... It would be kinda amazing to see some SVT members in some comedy love, high school drama or Stray Kids in a thriller, psychological drama (this just came up into my head based on their content and their music that I have listened to)... submitted by /u/LongjumpingPage6168 [link] [comments]

1.795. XLOV's latest comeback - the songs are good, the concept truly genderless and the choreography insanely innovative and dynamic. Can we please talk about them?!

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Guys, I need to gush with people over XLOV. They are truly blowing my mind with this concept. First - the songs. 1&only is genuinely such an amazing song - it's sensual, groovy, and has the magic that takes me back to second / third gen sound. Their vocals are also distinct and sound amazing. My only gripe is the lyrics (papi chulo?) but they are camp in the way I love kpop lyrics to be camp, so I'll let it slide. The genderless concept is groundbreaking. It honestly is. They have told fans at fansigning they truly don't care what gender you refer to them as - they embody so much feminine AND masculine energy, seem incredibly confident in themselves and just ready to break down a huge wall that has been in this industry. I feel like they are the queer rep I have always longed for - true, genuine queer rep. Their concept may be genderless, but their concept isn't queer - THEY are queer, and so it feels so much more authentic. EDIT - Also, they have expressed that they won't ask people to do challenges with them, because they understand how their choreography can be viewed and don't want other idols to feel uncomfortable. This is a whole convo in itself. Also, they are heavily involved in their own artistry! From concept to styling to even music production. They are doing this because they feel empowered by it. But what has me most floored right now is the choreography. I'm sure most have seen 1&only - it's gone viral everywhere, and is what drew my attention in. I don't know who they hired for this, but they absolutely nailed it - every member shines and it suits the song perfectly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5udJg2vAi4&t=1s But what I need to talk about because I cant find anyone on reddit talking about it, is the choreo for Bizness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzpMVYZZqdU&list=RDAzpMVYZZqdU&start_radio=1 Here's a live performance of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prR9miCSDlg&list=RDprR9miCSDlg&start_radio=1 This is the definition of when amazing choreo can SELL a song. The transition from "stay out of my business" to "dance" - ICONIC. Gosh I am just gushing over them. Have you checked them out yet? Thoughts? submitted by /u/hanniehae1005 [link] [comments]

1.797. Jessi dropped a tease for a new song Newsflash

  • reddit.com language

Jessi is finally set to drop a new song. What is everyone's thoughts on it? Teaser link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H1-B7HX_sE For me I think based from what is in the video, that it will be a diss track with several nods to her portrayal in kmedia recently . The MV teaser is giving and the tone seems to be similar to What Type of X or Nunu Nana, and so far i quite like it. However, the question is how will the kmedia and k gp react? Do you think she will face a backlash again? submitted by /u/MasterHospital [link] [comments]

I remember back in the day when I first started watching "Produce 48" and Wonyoung just appeared, she was just a kid, super talented and she surprised everyone... although she was so talented, I would never expect her to be that succesful! It's insane to now see her being incredibly famous, succesful, and basically the it girl of the new generation of K-Pop, it makes me proud. It feels so good to see someone works hard and be in a constant training until you see them become supestars, following their journey is so satisfying. What do you think?
