2 months after its initial release IS CRAZY. They have been doing so many festivals and Korean promo which I am so glad is paying off. Their unique listeners are also going up up up. Absolutely wild. It seems that Chanelle’s boy group version (which she has been doing since sos) has been a trend lately. Such good news for their first anniversary together. Congrats girlies 🫶. submitted by /u/Moonlighteverafter [link] [comments]

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how common it is to see certain idols being constantly busy, and how fans (and companies) treat that like something admirable. But when you actually look at the amount of work some of them are doing, it starts to feel more like overexploitation than “dedication.” Take Jaehyun from BOYNEXTDOOR, for example. He debuted less than a year ago and has already been booked non-stop: music shows, brand events, magazine shoots, variety, and more. He’s done work for Musinsa, Beanpole, multiple editorial covers (GQ, Arena, etc.), and solo appearances, all while still being an active rookie. He’s only 21. At what point do we admit that it’s just too much? Then there’s Mark from NCT. He’s probably the clearest case of overwork in K-Pop. NCT 127, NCT Dream, NCT U, SuperM, solo content, features, tours... it never stops. He’s been on a near-constant loop of comebacks and promotions since like 2016. There was a point where he had multiple back-to-back world tours in a single year. It’s impressive, but also concerning. Other examples come to mind easily: Heeseung (ENHYPEN) coming back from injury without proper rest. Karina (aespa) with endless schedules in Korea, the U.S., and China. Even mentioning sleep deprivation in livestreams. Hoshi and Woozi (SEVENTEEN) working as performers, choreographers, producers, often at the same time. Bang Chan (Stray Kids) constantly juggling production, tours, and weekly livestreams, even when he looks completely drained. We’ve kind of normalized this. Fans often praise how “hardworking” these idols are, or joke about how they “don’t sleep” but none of this should be normal. It’s not just hard work, it’s a system that pushes people until they burn out, and then replaces them when they do. I’m not saying idols shouldn’t be ambitious or take opportunities, but there should be a line. And a lot of companies, and honestly, fandoms, seem to ignore that line entirely. Maybe it’s time we stop glorifying non-stop hustle and start asking whether this level of output is actually sustainable. Because if idols are constantly tired, injured, or mentally worn out, what are we really supporting? submitted by /u/Seesawey [link] [comments]
I’m already familiar with some old BTS songs and I’m currently really into BOYNEXTDOOR, but I’d love to be able to follow some more groups!!! Open to both boy and girl groups 🥰 submitted by /u/goodmorningduck [link] [comments]

Of course it may never compare to the feeling of finally seeing your favorite group in person, but I feel like the experience is still just as amazing in a very different way. I recently went to a stray kids concert without knowing anything about their songs besides that one part in gods menu where they go DU-DU-DU-DU. I also went with my cousin who knew just as much as I did (maybe a little more because she also knew the dance to that part of gods menu). It was so fun!!! I didn’t feel the need to bring my phone out (except for that one gods menu part lol) and truly got to enjoy the performances. I joked that this was like a premium album listening experience in person since this was the first time we were hearing these songs. I listened to the songs after the concert and I feel like the studio versions don’t truly capture the essence of the music the way a concert did. A lot of people critique non fans for taking concert tickets from real fans but I feel like as long as you stay respectful and try your best to match the energy the group wants, then you should totally go!! submitted by /u/docideit [link] [comments]

They look incredible—that much is undeniable and frankly, shocking. But the concept is painfully unoriginal. It’s an indistinguishable look that every other group has already run into the ground for the past two years. This isn't fresh; it’s Twice copying what's popular and showing up late to the trend. It's a lame, follower vibe from a group that never needed to follow anyone. Coming off the strength of Between 1&2, Ready to Be, and With YOU-th, this feels cheap and tastes sour. It’s infuriating because while the execution is flawless, the idea itself is a tired rehash. submitted by /u/Beginning-Bad2979 [link] [comments]
I just want comebacks, concerts, and a lot of happy sweet heart to heart moments with my biases 😭 I'm simple af. I don't need them to be "The first whatever to perform at so & so" or "The first to do this or that". I don't need them to hang out with Hollywood big shots all the time and not make comebacks lol. I don't need them to be on Jimmy Fallon. I don't need them at Coachella or the VMAs. I need my idols to idol. Heck Taeyeon has never toured here in the states and I still love her. Not many Hollywood big shots know her but hey I still love her submitted by /u/No-Vehicle1562 [link] [comments]
