the way some people baby their idols is insufferable. like be so for real… they’re not a baby, they’re a fully grown adult who travels the world and files taxes 😭 stop acting like they needs to be wrapped in bubble wrap 24/7.every time they does something normal — breathes, talks, looks tired — y’all jump in with “🥺 they’re just a smol bean who doesn’t understand!!” girl WHAT. 😭 it’s not cute, it’s creepy. they’re not your kid, not your emotional support plushie. let idols act their damn age without y’all writing fanfics in the quote tweets. 💀 submitted by /u/ShipArtistic4139 [link] [comments]

14. favorite moments when kpop collided with your other interests ???

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

just a lighter post cuz ive missed posting here but on that note, a couple of months something rlly funny happened and i wonder if other kpop fans ever felt like this. I'm a big volleyball fan and theres this one player whos name is Gabi (short for Gabriela), then Katseye's Gabriela came out and from then on whenever she would score the dj would play this song. Also, lately ive been getting into F1 and recently found out that Stray Kids name dropped Leclerc in one of their songs. Anyways, i wanna know if theres ever been a crazy crossover between kpop and some of your other interests that you never thought it would happen. submitted by /u/seulgibreadd [link] [comments]

15. Who is the KPop-equivalent to this guy?

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

All I mean is does someone in KPop exist who also goes for crazy nail extentions like him? (the dude on the pictures is Kensuke from the JPop group KID PHENOMENON). I mean I know I saw a few dudes in Kpop here and there who use nail polish, but is there someone who loves going to the nail salon end does nails like him or even crazier? Like getting random claws, having the nails bedazled, doing color gradiants etc. submitted by /u/Beautiful_Yellow_682 [link] [comments]

17. Seunghan returned to RIIZE one year ago today

  • reddit.com language

What a time it was last year. I remember tearing up with joy from reading the announcement and going on tiktok and twitter to see people celebrating. I also remember crying when he was announced to depart the group three days after. So crazy that all of this happened because he dated and smoked BEFORE debuting. Crazy. Though I no longer keep up with RIIZE, I hope all of the boys are doing well. And proud of Seunghan for persisting. submitted by /u/haegirl [link] [comments]

19. Calling an idol their real name if they have a stage name is weird to me

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’m not sure if someone has already said this but personally I find it really odd when people try to call idols their real names if said idol has a stage name they go by. It’s mostly just a personal thing but I find it extremely odd calling an artist you don’t know their real name when they have a stage name for a reason. Example: SUGA from BTS being called Min Yoon-gi Even if the idols are comfortable with it I just find it personally slightly odd since the idols picked (usually) a stage name for a reason submitted by /u/Vegetable-Hope-1641 [link] [comments]

20. For those of you who only got into Kpop this year, what is your opinion on the quality of music so far in 2025?

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I am looking for an honest conversation about the quality of kpop music at the moment compared to previous years (please no fanwars/stan type comments, only focus on the music). As a kpop fan since 2015 I haven't really been feeling the music this year compared to previous ones. I make sure to listen to every popular group's comeback and as many nugu groups as I can each year. When I scroll through my yearly playlists I feel like the group music has been especially weak this year compared to previous ones. To me the soloists have played a much bigger part in creating quality music this year. Maybe I'm just getting older or the easy-listening trend just isn't my cup of tea (but there have also been lots of non easy-listening songs this year compared to last year). But this is why I am curious to hear the opinions from brand new, unbiased kpop fans who have only become obsessed with the whole genre this year! What are thoughts on the quality of kpop after your first year of having listened to it? submitted by /u/randomnarwhalaccount [link] [comments]

21. What is this trend of Japanese releases being better than the Korean releases?

  • 6 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I recently made a post asking people what they thought of recent girl groups Japanese releases. I got a few recommendations and checked them out and they were so much better than the Korean releases 😭 (At least in my opinion). I'm not really into illit but a couple of people recommended Toki Yo Tomare and it was so good?? And it's not just illit, I actually prefer the recent Japanese releases of Itzy, lsf and I've to their Korean releases. Why does it feel like they're saving the best songs for Japan 😭 submitted by /u/Infamous_Egg_5625 [link] [comments]

22. I am so tired of lazy songwriting

  • 6 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

These girls deserved so much better in the lyrics department. And before you say "lazy songwriting and lyrics is just part of kpop!" No. No it isn't. Bad and cheezy songwriting is, but not lazy songwriting. They are different even if they often overlap. submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]

23. What's a memory that you love about Apink?

  • 7 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I know Apink since 2015. was a big fan for NoNoNo and Remember (ofc I still am!). but I havn't became a Panda till 2020 when Dumhdurum came out. I think the LOOK album is one of my fav Apink memories. it made me feel as if Dumhdurum is song of the year which to me it is, honestly this song still top at least my top 50 songs yearly even 5 years after release! other memory I love is of course Remember when it came out. can't believe that I kinda were there! and when Eunji relased Away (July 2020) she made that Vlive for the comeback, I miss Vlive, but this memory when I watched that live with her dogs is also my fav. since there is alot of pandas who knew Apink before I did, what is your fav Apink memory? would love to hear your stories 🩷 submitted by /u/Middle-Dragonfly-489 [link] [comments]
