I could go on and on and on and on and on...Pause did I say I could go on?? I could go on and on about how ridiculously great Ten's solo discography is. It truly is an amazing ride. I was going to drop two video clips-One of Water and one of Lie with you but sub only allowed me to post one. I saw stunner being posted a while back and it got some good traction, so I'm riding on the waves that the people might wanna listen to more ten hopefully. His discography is truly unmatched-Water, Lie with you, Stunner, Enough for me e.t.c I run to his music once I hear he will be dropping music. Ten+Jaehhun+Onew+Baekhyun-my personal goated combo for good solo music. I hope you take this as a sign to listen to his music-While you are at it, listen to Twist by Wayv(truly unmatched) submitted by /u/Muted_Bodybuilder109 [link] [comments]

She posted her second photo today, and despite being mostly inactive, sheâs already at over 700,000 followers. At this rate, she might hit 1 million soon. Itâs kind of surreal to watch, especially considering everything thatâs happened. Iâm not bringing this up to reopen the bullying scandal again, people are entitled to their opinions on it. But for me, I followed her because it just felt genuinely unfair how everything played out. She was so young, and it all unfolded so fast and so publicly. Whether or not you believe she made mistakes, the level of backlash was overwhelming. Iâve seen a lot of people online ask why is she still getting so much attention? She was only in the group for a short time. She barely had any public activities. And with everything that happened, some people are calling the continued support âdelusionalâ or overly parasocial. I think a lot of people arenât just âstanningâ her but theyâre quietly hoping she gets another shot at life on her own terms. So Iâm curious: Why do you think so many people still care about Kim Garam, even after all this time, and even though she was only in the group for such a short period? submitted by /u/prettymuneca [link] [comments]

Im Korean, and KPop has been REALLY getting under my skin lately. The music is okay- I donât really like most of the music modern groups are putting out, but thatâs just my preference. Itâs the FAN CULTURE. CAN FANS PLEASE EXPLAIN THESE: -Obsessing over kpop idols and their âpersonalitiesâ when their jobs are to be idols on and off stage? It doesnât mean idols are bad people, just that people shouldnât be obsessing over their scripted personalities. -Posting âKpop idols workoutsâ and âidol dietsâ when most idols have clear eating disorders/starve themselves -THE âCUTE IDOL MOMENTâ COMPILATIONS. These idols are so clearly fishing to be clipped, and people eat it up đđ -Koreaboos- PLEASE STOP. Why am I getting fetishized because Iâm Korean đ Kdramas and Kpop are great parts of our culture, but theyâre just our entertainment- many aspects of our culture are totally different submitted by /u/breaddoes [link] [comments]
I feel like every episode with Twice was super funny but if I had to pick a favorite, maybe the one where they played a âguess whoâ game and a game similar to never have I ever where youâd put a finger down if a description applied to you. One of my favorite moments was when Tzuyu did a body wave to grab fruit across the table when the group was eating. submitted by /u/choerry_bomb [link] [comments]

Iâve made multiple posts on alts, alts of alts, my friendâs acc and at least 90% thereâs always some random person hating for no reason. So why? Is it just for shits and giggles or is it just a common thing? submitted by /u/Strange-Equal-7127 [link] [comments]
I say 3/4 because obviously hybe wasnât big until BTS and Iâm sure armyâs have some stories to tell. I know idols under big companies can have struggles, especially when it comes to favouring certain groups, but Iâd like to highlight some of the groups who made it big who didnât have the same opportunities as others. The main one that comes to mind is seventeen, who I Stan but arenât my ult - them filming their own music videos and woozi putting in so much effort makes me so happy to see them where they are now Ateez needs a mention as well - always booked, doing everything they can to promote their group. The pre debut videos of them on the street asking people to come to their shows always pops up in my mind when I see their tour videos nowadays. submitted by /u/jakylln [link] [comments]
Some idol stage names are sleek and simple, others are bold, mysterious, or just really fun to say. Iâm curious whose stage name has always stood out to you and why? Whether itâs the meaning behind it, the way it sounds, or how well it fits their vibe, feel free to share your picks! (Bonus points if the name has a fun backstory!) submitted by /u/Positive_Glass_442 [link] [comments]

Let me preface this by saying this isnât a reflection of how I personally feel about K-Pop, but rather something Iâve been observing for a while now. K-Pop, at its core, is Korean pop music. It has built a massive global fanbase, and some would even argue that it is mainstream. Iâm not here to tell you thatâs wrong, but I am here to suggest that K-Pop might never be as mainstream as some people hope it will be. At least, not in the way Western pop dominates the global scene. Letâs talk about radio play, which still plays a significant role in defining whatâs âmainstream.â Iâm Belgian, and I listen to the radio regularly. Off the top of my head, here are the K-Pop (or K-Pop-adjacent) songs Iâve heard played more than once: âCupidâ (English version) by FIFTY FIFTY âDynamiteâ by BTS âMy Universeâ by Coldplay & BTS âAPTâ by Bruno Mars & RosĂŠ âKiss and Make Upâ by Dua Lipa & BLACKPINK âOne of the Girlsâ by The Weeknd & Jennie And of course, âGangnam Styleâ by PSY What do these all have in common? Except for Gangnam Style, theyâre either fully in English or collaborations with major Western artists. That pattern isnât a coincidenceâitâs part of a larger reality. We can argue all day about how frustrating it is that many people donât give foreign-language music a chance, and yeah, it is frustrating. But most of the time, itâs not out of malice. People just tend to gravitate toward music they can understand. Lyrics often shape emotional connection, and when that connection is missing, people tune out. TikTok has shifted the music landscape significantly. You could argue it's also become a landscape to explore new music and for songs to go viral. Plenty of K-Pop sounds have gone viral there recently. But even on TikTok, Iâve noticed that the viral sounds people latch onto are often instrumentalâno lyrics, no language barrier. And look, I donât think thereâs a problem with this. In fact, I think most K-Pop companies understand the limitations of language in the global market. Thatâs why weâre seeing groups like KATSEYE, which are clearly built with international success in mind. Iâve already been hearing Gabriella on the radio nearly every other day, which says a lot. It's not hugely different from let's say Senorita by G-Idle for example, but it's in English instead of Korean, and therefor it gets radio success much easier. Yes, there are occasional exceptions where songs in other languages go global. But unless it's in English or sometimes Spanish, it's just that: an exception, not the norm. The K-Pop model clearly works. Itâs innovative, polished, and incredibly marketable. Thatâs why it remains such a global force. But if the goal is to reach even more people, the most effective (and predictable) route is through English-language releases or groups that embody the K-Pop formula in an English-speaking format. Again, none of this reflects how I want things to beâIâd love to see people give more music a chance, regardless of language. I can think of dozens of Dutch songs that are absolute masterpieces, but theyâll likely never be heard outside of Belgium or the Netherlands. Meanwhile, one of the few Dutch songs that did go viral internationally is... well, letâs just say it wasnât exactly a cultural gem. Itâs frustrating, but itâs also reality. There's obvioulsy also still a large part of people that don't want to give Kpop a chance because of the fandom culture too, but language plays a very significant and almost unforgettable part. submitted by /u/Due_Improvement_5699 [link] [comments]
Just curiousâif you had the chance to collaborate with any K-Pop idol or group, who would you pick? Could be someone legendary like Taemin or IU, or a current fave like Yeji or J-Hope. And what kind of project would you want to do? A song, a dance, a variety show, or something else? Personally, Iâd love to collab with [insert your fave idol] because [insert why]. Canât wait to see everyoneâs dream collabs! submitted by /u/Itsjustonyx [link] [comments]
