I'm tired of fans hating and ignoring Leeseo (IVE) but then not giving her credit when she actually shines

"Leeseo shouldn't have been in the group", "IVE don't need her", "She doesn't do or add anything to the group" These are all statements I have heard a million times. The thing is, despite disagreeing, I don't actually have much of a problem with these statements. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and as long as you are not being hateful, you should be able to voice any opinion you have. The problem I have is that these same people who say these stuff, don't give her credit when she actually does some great work. Take the Attitude MV for example, Starship Entertainment tried some really creative things with Leeseo and despite not having too much time to work with, she put her all into the character she was portraying in the MV and she was one of the bright spots of that MV and era. She added so much more personality to her dancing and performances as well. I saw almost nothing about her from these same people. Some even go quiet which is quite telling. Then, we have IVE's most recent comeback, XOXZ. Leeseo absolutely shined in this MV so much. Whenever she was on screen, it was hard to look anywhere else. She crushed it. Yet again, dead silence. I then listened to the album and Leeseo had undeniable major singing improvements. Nothing. You don't have to praise Leeseo, but don't go out of your way to hate on her and then don't acknowledge when she actually improves. submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]

8. Photocard info is shockingly unfriendly.

  • 2 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Photocards don’t even guarantee you’ll get your bias, and the actual list of cards is usually private. I still can’t believe we have to dig through X posts or Pinterest boards just to figure out what versions exist. For something that people are willing to spend money on and collect, the information is surprisingly scattered and unfriendly. I get that the randomness adds some fun, but it feels kind of backwards that the more seriously you want to collect, the more detective work you have to do. Just for fun, I tried making a template where you can see all ATEEZ photocards in one place — versions, member cards, everything at a glance. Would something like this actually be useful for collectors? Or do most people prefer their own systems like spreadsheets or folders? Curious to hear your thoughts! submitted by /u/kpop_bunjang [link] [comments]

Super Junior fans know just how insane Kim Heechul’s stage presence is. Even non-fans witnessed it during the past two SMTOWN concerts—he always drew some of the loudest cheers. Now, imagine the sheer joy of seeing him back on stage: Beautiful Idol Kim Heechul has officially returned for Super Junior’s 20th Anniversary Tour, marking the end of a 10-year hiatus from full, live concert performances. And he did not disappoint. The idol with the distinctive flair and stage charisma is back! He came back strong—and made the stage even more exciting, seductive, and unapologetically fun—in true Kim Heechul style. 11. I think kpop stans need to stop thinking calling kpop groups industry plant is being rational

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Like I think some kpop stans forgot that industry plant is artist who came out of nowhere and got massive success from connections and pretending to be indie. I saw people used that for cortis, and I disagree because cortis have never said they are indie group. They came to bighit due to bts and they started working on others' work during their trainee days just like other bighit artists do: be other groups' background dancers, write other groups' songs, etc. And people were already hype about the group since there's news about a new bighit boy group debuting so it makes sense why people rushed to listen to them. And no, it's not rational to call any kpop group that because it is used to downplay any artists. Just because people called their music and aesthetic refreshing, them doing their own production, and they debuted under a company you don't like, it's not being industry plant. submitted by /u/Routine_Example5803 [link] [comments]

21. Any groups where you have a really strong bias and NO bias wreckers?

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Usually I have trouble deciding between a few members. The exceptions for me are: Day6 Wonpil, IVE Yujin. Those are the only ones i can think of where it just happens to be the case! It’s not that I don’t like the other members (in fact I do like them!), it’s just that the rest don’t come close to wrecking status for me because these biases are so solid. submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]

Chanyeol just released his new album and song and it’s literally so good? It made me feel like i was a teenager from the early 2000s kind of Avril Lavigne vibe, it’s definitely different than what all these groups and KPOP idols have been recently, need more people to talk about it, the whole album is amazing ! submitted by /u/bbhexos [link] [comments]

26. What are your favorite "What ifs?" in K-pop?

  • 7 hours ago schedule

As the title says what are your favorite what ifs in kpop? Some of my favorites: Allegedly Idk if Lee Sooman ever confirmed or not but it's been rumored that Red Velvet was going to have an unlimited member system like NCT after Yeri debuted in the group but the negative reception to RV no longer being OT4 put a stop on that and they remained as the OT5 we know today. Another one of my favorite is BLACKPINK when they were originally PINK PUNK with seven or eight members they were supposed to be YG's answer to SNSD but with girl crush submitted by /u/jdpm1991 [link] [comments]
