I think Hybe rushed things with Le Sserafim

After Easy, Crazy and Hot tour I realised Le Sserafim has a lot of potential, they have good stage presence, their dances are syncronised and they can sing quite well. But as much as I love these girls I need to agree that they were not ready for Coachella 2024.Ofcourse the performance was not bad as much as some ppl made it seem online, but it was not good.Coachella is a big stage where many prestigious artist performs. An iconic performance in Coachella could have boosted their popularity 3x times in the west. I think after their Perfect Night charted on BB Bubbling Under Hot 100 and Easy charted on BB Hot 100 Hybe desperately wanted to keep that momentum and sent them to Coachella undermining the fact that they were not ready. I feel sorry for the girls, but it was a bad desicion from their management, keeping in consideration that they were already facing heavy critisism at that time for their encore stages. So, what was supposed to be an iconic moment ended up becoming an excuse for the hate train.I think Le sserafim would have killed it if they perfomed at Coachella 2025. submitted by /u/Due_Collection_3363 [link] [comments]

15.861. A quick note about the generalization rule

  • 2 years ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

The subreddit is mostly uncensored as long as people follow the rules. Generalizing statement about Korea, Korean society, etc or most other countries are not acceptable except under the following standards: The only claims that are acceptable when generalizing Korean society in this sub are those that bring up generalizable stastical claims by the standards of the international statistics institute. Not only do the vast majority of stastistics you can find on the internet about Korea not up to this minimum, basic standard but this requirement includes having ample sample size, blocking by relevant demographics and sometimes even double blind tests. So if you make a generalizing claim, your wording must be properly formatted and links to the relevant studies provided. In other words, the standard for making a generalization is very high in this sub. Not to mention the wording for your claim has to be properly made. Anyone who has taken a college level statistics class will know what I am talking about and we may even require you to provide the confidence level interval if it's relevant for your study. If you cannot meet these standards, I would just avoid doing it in general. submitted by /u/Kpop_Love_Forever [link] [comments]

6. Few days( idk how many days)after the tarzzan and cortis controversy , what do you think about it??

So those of you who do not know , a pretty mild controversy for tarzzan from all day project . He basically was asked about keonho sagging( wearing pants low)( this was indirectly reffered to) .look with a hanbok , and tarzzan said he wouldn't do that personally and that's disrespecting a culture. That was taken negatively by fans and was interpreted as throwing shade on keonho for " disrespecting a culture" when he alone has been called out for the same ( not my words submitted by /u/yejioooo [link] [comments]

12. Unpopular Opinion: I see why EJAE was rejected by SM

  • 2 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Kpop demon hunters has pushed Ejae to stardom. (Deservedly so) She’s an incredible vocalist and songwriter and is also very pretty. Even though Golden was transposed down several keys on Jimmy Fallon, it was still very difficult to sing live and she nailed it. But something was missing. She lacked the X factor and stage presence from most KPop groups. Rose for instance isn’t as beautiful, doesn’t have the vocal range of Ejae but commands the stage far better. Even in her early blackpink days. In the eyes of K-pop studios, stage presence is more important than those other factors. And that likely got her rejected. 15. We need more sad songs in K-Pop!

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

With the release of Blue Valentine by NMIXX this morning, it made me realize how badly we need more sad songs in K-Pop. It is lowkey embarrassing how few we have had this year so far. Bright cheerful songs are not the only way to secure hits and I hope K-Pop companies get reminded of this. Also, a sad song does not need to be a ballad (like Blue Valentine). Please K-Pop Gods, let there exist more sad songs in this wonderful sub-art form! submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
