So I just watched the mv video ns the kpop demon hunters, and I can def see the inspiration came from ive's song. It's obvious, what the producers are saying, it's cap. Irregardless of it being inspired through ive's "I am" song, its still a completely different song. It was power vocals while I am is still very soft vocals, no amazing voice that just shocks you like rumi's, no orechestratic larger than life energetic chords coming in like Golden's chorus. Ppl say if ppl like the kpop movie, they should just listen to kpop. And hearing the difference between I am and golden has never made it more clear to me on why golden is popular with everyone but the typical kpop song is not. Its bc the typical kpop song doesn't sound like this. 98% of idols are not power vocals. Most can't even sing live decently, let alone be stunningly amazing at it. And then the music production in these kpop songs, are typically not what you would find in kpop songs. Its missing that power, that energy. Kpop demon hunters Rumi was doing mamamoo exo type vocals. Like we're not getting those belt outs through most kpop songs. I was listening to I am and to me it's a good song but If I compare it go golden, it was a let down for me. Whenever the chorus came up I was expecting for the song to get bigger bc thats how the melody is presenting the song, but it just lands flat and underwhelming. It's a good song, but not my cup of tea. So I have to disagree. Golden was def inspired by I am, but it's a completely new song. If it was I am, it would not be charting like it is right now. The reason golden is popular is bc it has the best elements of kpop and the west combined. submitted by /u/spice_rice27 [link] [comments]
last time people were being rude and unthoughtful so I would like you to do that on an actual board that isn’t good… go ahead jobless crazy non-Korean K-pop Stan’s who think people’s personal song choice is trash and you’d rather criticize them than try to see my point of view! submitted by /u/Happy-Flight-4810 [link] [comments]

So I woke up this morning and WENT STRAIGHT to the album (and I love it) and once I got to “Sunday Driver” I immediately thought of “Echo” from Ablume. I even relistened to them at right behind each other and the vibe of the chorus almost matches perfectly. Did anyone else have this experience?? submitted by /u/Edditeds [link] [comments]

I genuinely think ILLIT are the best group of the 5th generation. And no, it's not just because I like them, it’s because they’ve already achieved things that most groups dream of. From their debut, they’ve broken records left and right. Magnetic made them the first female K-pop group to enter the Billboard Hot 100 with a debut song, charting at #91. It also reached #6 on the Billboard Global 200 and #2 on the Global Excl. U.S. charts. Their first EP, Super Real Me, landed at #93 on the Billboard 200. Since then, they’ve collected over 15 major awards, including Rookie of the Year titles from shows like MAMA, Golden Disc, Melon Music Awards, Japan Record Awards, and even iHeartRadio. No other 5th gen group has matched that momentum. Magnetic achieved 73 Perfect All-Kills on Korean charts. They’re the only group of their generation to ever do that. And while doing all this musically, they’ve also taken over the fashion and brand world. They've been chosen by Acne Studios (even before debut), Bioderma, La Roche-Posay, Pocari Sweat, Crocs, Lacoste Japan, Candy Magic, KT Y, and even M&M’s Asia who named them their first-ever K-pop ambassadors. In one year, ILLIT went from being trainees to global brand faces, chart-breaking artists, and record-setting rookies. No scandals, just jealousy from others because of how far they’ve come. And they also have the most respectful and most polite fandom I've ever seen, also the male fans, like me. submitted by /u/Jaded-Ad-7658 [link] [comments]

To start off, the song itself is good. The only thing I’d change is the placement of the iconic “BlackPink in your Area”, I’d place it before Rosè starts the song. Now onto the mv, it’s not bad but not good. Scenes like the eardrum were amazing, loved the neon suits and hair styles but the fact that a good 50% of the mv is people head banging and not focusing on the members feels off. I’ve seen some people say it was because the girls scheduling didn’t match up. It also felt off due to the editing of the mv with some examples being Jennie’s face not moving during the running scene and weird warping with the back ground. Now I will say most of my thoughts aren’t directed at the members, since making the song, mv, and editing aren’t in their control. submitted by /u/SweetDanganronpa [link] [comments]

The song is ideal for summer and for doing cardio. The song V on the album has some Spanish words 🥹. submitted by /u/Separate-Comedian-25 [link] [comments]
Gfriend's THE AWAKENING EP and specifically Fingertip as a title track by Gfriend, while being a huge shift from their usual mystical and sparkling horse girl music, in retrospect was a Masterpiece. From the opening track Hear the Wind Sing, all the way to Crush, the album is jam packed with high quality production, cohesiveness, and a real identity defining musical direction. With specifically Fingertip, I genuinely do not have enough hyperbolies to throw at this song but I will try. It sounds like if Gfriend, Kara and Sistar had a baby musically. It has all of the qualities that make it a GFriend staple, all while pushing the groups boundaries with a slightly more mature sound. I think the biggest compliment I can give to the song is that it sounds like a prime Sweetune produced track. Its giving Female INFINITE in terms of sound! Let me know your thoughts in the comments and make sure to give the song a listen! submitted by /u/Sea-Abbreviations328 [link] [comments]
