I donât know if this will be unpopular or not but something that Iâve been feeling for a while now, is that groups seem to stay pretty stagnant after the 2 year mark. If anyone has groups that can prove me wrong please tell me. But i honestly think this is because companies wonât stop debuting new groups that donât even really have that distinct of concepts. Like please just let the groups that you have already debuted marinate a bit longer and invest in them, instead of shoving a younger group down our throats that doesnât even have anything new to offer to the industry as a whole. I also think the groups that had the most potential to grow ended up having controversyâs that stopped their growth, nwjns, kiss of life, etc. Also about Katseye and this new group, Iâm worried HXG are going to ruin Katseyes momentum and lose the hype around them by already over-saturating the market for themđ«€ A big selling point of Katseye imo, is that they are one of a kind right now. submitted by /u/M0us3Cheezz [link] [comments]

đ„Stray Kids - Felix (31 upvotes) đ„KATSEYE - Manon (27 upvotes) đ„Soloist - Jeon Somi (6 upvotes) Main Vocalist: NMIXX - Lily Main Dancer: KATSEYE - Daniela Main Rapper: SEVENTEEN - Vernon Leader: Stray Kids - Bangchan Center: Stray Kids - Felix Rules: - top comment (by upvotes) after roughly 24 hours will be chosen - all gen is allowed - both male and female idols are allowed, but I will not enforce any forced co-ed - the K-pop idol must be from / has spent significant time growing up in an overseas, non-Asian country ("significant time" is defined by general consensus) - an overseas country is one that is not Asian (NOT Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, etc.) => examples of eligible countries include Canada, USA, Australia, NZ - try to upvote comments instead of commenting the same idol multiple times - have fun! submitted by /u/CynthiaRH142857 [link] [comments]

Hybe just released info about their next project group, which is going to be another global girl group. Any post about this so far has been flooded with confused, annoyed, and hateful comments by people. I get those sentiments, but I do question why it's mainly Kpop fans (judging by the profile pictures at least) that are so upset about this, when this is literally just how fastpaced the kpop market moves. Kpop companies have always been known for putting out new groups like factories and at quick pace, so why are they so surprised that Hybe is taking the very logical route of cashing in on their attempt at a global girl group, which is dominating social media right now. Adding to this, I don't know why people are surprised that members from the Popstar academy are joining this group. Do people forget just how common it is for idols to still debut in other groups after their first attempt of joining didn't work out? Chaeryoung, Chaeyeon, Somi and Natty all participated in Sixteen in their hopes of joining Twice, yet still managed to debut in hugely popular groups themselves after this. Yunjin got 26th place on produce 48 and still later managed to become part of a hugely succesful group. Half of the members from &team participated in I-land... A lot of the times, becoming part of a lineup isn't a showcase of who is the most talented, just who is most liked by the public, whose the most attractive (sad but undeniable reality), and who fits into the group the most. Adding adding to this (lol), I do just want to say I find the overall reactions I've seen towards Emily disgusting, like did she do something to warrant all these comments attacking her appearance because I can't find an actual reason? Very upsetting to see submitted by /u/Due_Improvement_5699 [link] [comments]
This also interviews directors, executive music producer. Itâs the best Iâve seen. It gets into detail about the process, and the goals of the songs for serving the plot. Plus how the movie helped Ejae discover herself: The melody for Golden came to me incredibly quickly, and through writing it, I actually discovered my vocal range. Iâm both terrified and proud of the A5 I hit in that song, it was a self-discovering moment for me You probably heard about how the directors went with Ejae as Rumi, based on demos she submitted as strictly as a songwriter. Something crazy I saw is that Ejae really didnât think of herself as a singer. She still has in her IG bio, âVocal Producer/arranger.â Ian Eisendrath, executive music producer for KDH: In the past, she has not self-identified as a singer. And I just kept saying, "EJAE, your voice is unlike anything Iâve ever heard before.â Itâs amazing luck they realized how good she was, then stuck with and helped develop her. It reminds me of some fashion or jewelry designers that a brandâs executives believe in. Their potential is recognized, and they get the time to grow even if their early work doesn't seem obviously special. Such a crazy parallel to Rumi breaking mental barriers to find her voice. submitted by /u/hyeran_jainros_fc [link] [comments]
