Ew trump. I do not support any misogynistic, white nationalist, incel, hitler-like (esp. Musk), racists at all and neither does this sub and apparently neither does reddit as a site as a whole. He stands against everything Kpop stands for which is an art form from a formerly colonized people from a country that is rising up against colonialism and hatred. Anyone who comments anything negative to this, or tries to defend that orange guy will be banned permanently. Go somewhere else, we don't want your lower kind here. Hey folks! Over in r/kpop we just posted a new special Town Hall that is focused only on the Flairs we use to help organize our posts based on content categories. Link to r/kpop's 'All About Flairs' Town Hall We included announcements for new flairs here on r/kpoppers and also on r/kpophelp. The following is the section relevant for this subreddit. NEW FLAIRS! Connect - This flair will be used for anything where fans are trying to socially connect with each other. Announcing new K-Pop subreddits or Discords, looking for mutual fans on social media, wanting to meet up at a concert, seeking fans in a region to form a dance group, networking for a fan project, announcing a K-Pop night at a club, etc. Research - Academic surveys related to K-Pop or fandom topics. We'll keep an eye on these new flairs to see if they create any confusion or need adjustments. Let us know if you have any thoughts, concerns, or questions! submitted by /u/alleybetwixt [link] [comments]
The subreddit is mostly uncensored as long as people follow the rules. Generalizing statement about Korea, Korean society, etc or most other countries are not acceptable except under the following standards: The only claims that are acceptable when generalizing Korean society in this sub are those that bring up generalizable stastical claims by the standards of the international statistics institute. Not only do the vast majority of stastistics you can find on the internet about Korea not up to this minimum, basic standard but this requirement includes having ample sample size, blocking by relevant demographics and sometimes even double blind tests. So if you make a generalizing claim, your wording must be properly formatted and links to the relevant studies provided. In other words, the standard for making a generalization is very high in this sub. Not to mention the wording for your claim has to be properly made. Anyone who has taken a college level statistics class will know what I am talking about and we may even require you to provide the confidence level interval if it's relevant for your study. If you cannot meet these standards, I would just avoid doing it in general. submitted by /u/Kpop_Love_Forever [link] [comments]
First of all, I'm South African, and the most popular genre here is amapiano, so I doubt I'll ever hear kpop in a store unless it's an actual Korean store or just an Asian restaurant. I only stan Stray kids right now, but I listen to a lot of different groups and genres. Sadly, my parents hate my music taste so much that whenever they catch me listening to kpop, I have to turn it off. They know I like kpop, because I constantly talk about Stray Kids. My mother believes they are all gay, and are secretly drag queens. She also believes every group in kpop is demonic because of Kpop Demon Hunters, and when she saw it, she compared the groups I listen to, to the Saja Boys šš Anyways, any kpop merch here is SO DAMN EXPENSIVE. Ridiculously overpriced. But I seriously don't understand why they never wanna step a foot in the whole continent of Africa.. We have water, stadiums, food, whatever.. Animals don't just randomly roam around in our streets, it's literally just a continentš But yeah I just wanted to yap.. Thanks for reading š submitted by /u/EcstaticTrack2632 [link] [comments]

I'm just bored and curious. For my ult group, Stray kids, I'd like them to make a song with a jersey club type beat- similar to the beginning of the ATE trailer. The mix of their rap and vocals over that kind of rhythm would be really interesting to hear. submitted by /u/EcstaticTrack2632 [link] [comments]
In 2009, BoA released a self titled English album. It was mostly dance pop that was very popular in the west at the time, and I feel like it doesn't get talked about enough for how many Blackout/In The Zone rejects are on there. BoA pretty much released a Britney Spears album with the amount of demos and it's so funny to me. Obsessed, Scream, Energetic, Look Who's Talking off of the top of my head were all pitched and even some were recorded by Britney before production changed their minds. submitted by /u/fishingforsomepies [link] [comments]

For me this has to be NMIXX . expergó is pretty good but everything after is an absolute banger then there is the first of 3 fe3O4 Ep : Break. This one is very very good especially Passionfruit and Run for roses. Then Stick Out Beat Beat alone justify it being an absolute banger. and finally Forward. There isn't one of those 6 songs I didn't obssesed over especially Golden Recipe, Know about me also being Their best title track in my opinion. SPINNIN' ON IT is also incredible. I have to say my exceptations for Blue valentine are pretty much in the sky but I know they will succeed to reach them. submitted by /u/Gullible_Gear_5543 [link] [comments]
I came across this post https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop_uncensored/s/Hq71NTZahv it's about op asking how relevant KPop in their home countries and majority of the answer is still very niche/not mainstream. So if KPop is not mainstream anywhere else it's better to be popular in the home country which is Korea if they want to have a long lasting career. So groups like straykids and ateez Will not last long because they re not popular in their home country submitted by /u/Chemical_Mobile_6613 [link] [comments]
That's basically it. I mean choosing a band that already disbanded and that you liked so you can have another chance to do it again now. submitted by /u/Mayh_3m [link] [comments]

I'M NOT JOKING ON THIS ONE someone really said to my face that i must've thought of sleeping with the idols I'm watching on a random sunny day š¤¦š»āāļø being a kpop fan comes with many struggles and one of them is dealing with these type of people submitted by /u/SmoothGrand4695 [link] [comments]
Is this like an indicator of disbandment or something? Other than announcements I haven't really seen other postings. Seems kinda awkward to just leave behind the group like that rather than using the momentum to do more group promotions. submitted by /u/moomoomilky1 [link] [comments]

I donāt know, this randomly popped in my head: if you and your friend group were in a kpop group, what would be your role? Iām the only one who really dances in my friend group, and Iāve been dancing since I was 3, so I think Iād be the main/lead dancer. And maybe visual? It sounds weird to say that, because I donāt think Iām better looking than the rest of them, but I care more about appearance and looks than the rest of my friends. I looked up the definition of a visual in kpop just to make sure. Which is, āthe member of a group who is considered to best fit the prevailing Korean beauty standards, often embodying a specific look that is highly valued in Korean cultureā(google). I only have one friend in my friend group who is Korean, but sheās not the performing type at all. Imagining her performing does not at all work inside my head. Itās not that sheās bad, itās just not her thing. But, Iām not Korean, Iām an American. And I think I fit the ābeauty standardsā or ābeauty stereotypesā in America. Sorry for explaining so much. I just donāt want to seem full of myself. But yeah, what position/s would you have? (Also, Iām still kind of new to Kpop, so if I got anything wrong, please let me know. Thanks!) submitted by /u/dancing_hpfan [link] [comments]
