Iāv been noticing something interesting with smaller agencies like Modhaus (one behind tripleS/Artemis), has been pushing NFT photocard=objekt, mostly thanks to backing from web3/blockchain investors. I got curious and looked into it and apparently their cosmo app lets you buy/own digital photocards as NFTs and the more you collect the more voting power you get to actually influence an idolās future activities. Basically a mini DAO governance system for kpop fans. Modhaus just also debuted their new boy group idntt and the marketing has been super aggressive both online and offline. At first I was like shouldnāt fans get to know the members and build some attachment before getting flooded with photocards? initially felt like they were leaning way too hard on nft stuff right out of the gate. But maybe thatās the play. flip the order, get people hooked on the collecting side first then have them naturally start paying attention to the group through that process. Tokenizing the physical cards into nfts makes it feel like youāre basically playing an addictive game and I get why that could be fun. Whatās interesting is how theyāre spreading this across different platforms. Sure Withmuu is handing out objekts with album purchases, pretty standard stuff in the industry. But theres something with Bunjang. I always thought of it as just a resale app like the kpop version of FB marketplace where fans trade their own merch. Turns out theyāre now doing official drops too and they launched an exclusive limited idntt objekt there? My first impression was just how much effort Modhaus was putting in but that move makes a lot of sense, even expanding into resale platforms can fuel both offline and online demand. And since bunjangās objekts are capped at two cards per member they could end up being quite rare. Iām a bit old fashioned so Iāve only ever collected physical photocards and never messed with the nft side since it seemed harder to keep track of. but Iām curious enough about the whole offline to online thing that I might grab a few just to test it out⦠also Dohun has definitely caught my eye already. Anyways what do you guys think about Modhausās whole objekt strategy? submitted by /u/Warm_Maintenance2715 [link] [comments]
Illitās music is very refreshing to me because it felt very jpop. It reminds me of the Japanese music that used to be very popular back in the day. Even their mvs reminded me of them. And I love how it made feel good as a girl. Like Do the dance made me want to dance like I am magical girl with a tutu and Magnetic is nice. I mostly love pimple and little monster since it made me cry sometimes. I really enjoy their music for a while and I am excited for their Japanese comeback soon. submitted by /u/Routine_Example5803 [link] [comments]

I remember when they debuted, a lot of people (including me) said the song was weak and kinda boring. I honestly thought their debut was underwhelming. But then I saw a post about 2025 Spotify streams and āThe Chaseā is pulling really solid numbers (??). Plus itās still hanging around in MelOnās Top 100 daily chart, which surprised me. Did the song grow on you guys too, or is it just me missing something? submitted by /u/Difficult_Bit_3025 [link] [comments]

By albums it also includes EPs and singles. It's pretty much all kpop but there are a few jpop ones in there too. submitted by /u/3-X-O [link] [comments]

Hi Beautiful People āĖā¹ā” I would love if you guys could let me know your favourite songs from your favourite artists that may not fall so high on my list! I love listening to new music, so any and all suggestions make me happy. Thank you so much for your time and effort. The two groups blocked off by TEIR MAKER are ILLIT and X:IN. āĖā¹ā” submitted by /u/cruelmemory [link] [comments]

Gooning to Mingyu's CK ad videos that just got released, and then thought of his house track he also just released a couple months ago, Shake It Off. I was like goddamn; the 2 little vids they did could've featured his solo and it would've meshed perfectly given the aesthetic and vibe of the videos. So it got me wondering, why don't companies use a kpop idol's tracks for their ads like CK's videos? They're obviously paying to bet on that idol's prestige and image to sell their product; wouldn't it make sense to do the whole package and use any of the idol's works too if it fits? Same thing with GAP and Katseye's denim ads video. They featured another song instead but couldn't they have used a track from Katseye? And then why do some companies just outright create their own song when contracting idol's for promotions (re: pepsi's ad collab with Rain/Brave Girls/Monsta X/Ateez)? Idk the details here but I assume its because its a one-off thing instead of a whole ambassadorship sponsorship deal? submitted by /u/RaveGuncle [link] [comments]
