Rebel Heart is literally a masterpiece of a song but I can also so easily understand if you don't think it's good at the same time submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Hey everyone, it’s that time of the month when I get to tell you what took over my August. August was a killer month for music, as a lot of excellent releases dropped that kept popping up on my playlist like crazy. It was a little challenging trying to figure out what took over, but when I did, I was thrilled. I did get a vacation this month, which was a nice break from work and a great time to see my best friend. Now, let’s jump into the month and see what took over. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ https://preview.redd.it/ab3k4p22aemf1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f864ffe0cec83fe00a3748dda0ff603082126a5b Honorable Mentions Songs: Dancing Alone/Strawberry Cheesegame - KiiiKiii 시작의 아이 ❍ - Park Da Hye & Maktub Topping - ILLIT BAKA (feat. Chanmina) - pH-1 Goodbye, My Summer - Hanaroro ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Song: La Vie En Bleu - Joy Joy took over my month with her B-side La Vie En Bleu, a track that has a bit of a paris vibe. The smooth and vibey instrumental blends perfectly with the sweet voice Joy has. I love the tone of her vocals as they fit the vibe, making this one tune this month that I kept returning to. The hook has been stuck in my head since this album was released. I was surprised there were moments where Joy spoke French, which I didn’t know would fit this tune. Joy did a terrific job with her album, but I could only pick one song to take over my month, and La Vie En Bleu was that track for me, and one that helped make August better. ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Honorable Mentions Albums: Enemy - Twice IVE Secret -IVE In Bloom - Yuju Plot Twist AtHeart Evelution - Lun8 WHAT HAVE WE DONE - pH-1 JAMONG SALGU CLUB - Hanaroro From JOY, with Love - The 1st Mini Album - Joy ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Album: Laundri - Moon Byul The album that took over my month came from Moon Byul. Moon Byul delivered an excellent project, one that I kept coming back to like crazy. We first heard a taste of this record with the pre-release Ice BBY, which grew on me as I found the song getting stuck in my head. Da Capo is a tune on the record that reminded me of Legend of Zelda, with the melody that fit the performance Moon Byul brought to the table. Chocolate Tea has this waltz vibe that fits the performance that Moon Byul brought to the table. The title track Goodbye and Sad Eyes is a little generic, but I still find it an enjoyable tune for the singer. I’m glad Moon Byul is back with new music that keeps popping up on my playlist as I keep returning to this tune over and over. https://preview.redd.it/wmczcknhaemf1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fce9be0fd322e43e910ead1368a91c9ce6057bf5 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Non-Korean Release Honorable Mentions: A Little More - Ed Sheeran Teenage Blue - Hi-Fi Unicorn Disco Nap - Shania Yan Peace, Love & Cowboy - Lainey Wilson ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Song: Song 3 - Babymetal & Slaughter to Prevail Babymetal returned with a new album, but one song from that project took over my August for the non-Korean release. The instrumental is killer with the fast percussion and guitars that fit the vibe perfectly. Babymetal delivers some smooth vocals as they fit this beat like butter. The hook has been pulling me back for more as it keeps popping up in my head a lot. Slaughter to Prevail provides vocals to the song, and when they let loose, it will hit you hard. I loved their addition to the track, blending with Babymetal’s vibe wonderfully. I didn’t expect them to fit so well with Babymetal, but it’s my favorite collaboration on the album. I’m glad Babymetal came back with a strong project and one that will be on repeat for a while. https://preview.redd.it/0n3ne1iraemf1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa6af802ae8d6d792a59613f59fc6805e9aabade submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]
Start with this sentence and now you guys are free to finish this For example, Kpop Group Names are becoming funny submitted by /u/Slight_Brain6291 [link] [comments]
I think I've heard it somewhere. It's by a boy group probably. It's been stuck in my mind for the past couple of hours and I couldn't figure out what it's called or who made it 😭. It's either Kpop or cpop (because I listened to most of wayv’s albums two days ago. That's all I remember from the melody. I would be so grateful if y'all helped me find it 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Also ignore the made up lyrics 😭. submitted by /u/rriiaaee [link] [comments]

I'm always amused by the absolute hatred some people have for "English" songs and selling out to the west. The reality, regardless of the reasons why (that's a whole other discussion!) is that many countries in Asia and around the world use English as a second language. Some even treat it as an official language. India, Pakistan, Philippines and Singapore use English widely. This is also true for many countries around the world. While Asia is home to so many languages, from Arabic to Vietnamese, it's fairly common to find people who speak some level of English. So why is it so surprising that English songs would penetrate international markets more than local language songs? I think the remarkable fact that Korean has managed to spread so widely should be celebrated! And yet, having groups sing in English is a good marketing move, in my opinion. So I ask you all, if you are not from an English speaking country (US, UK, AUS etc.) is English an official language in your country? A common language? Or is it not commonly used at all? And other than the local music, what pop music language is the most common? submitted by /u/bungluna [link] [comments]
Their tour only ended 5 months ago as well. I hope they aren't being overworked, but honestly, purely from a business standpoint, releasing another comeback 2 months after dirty work (that quite a bit of people didn't like, despite the success) is a smart move. And i've heard tours are the biggest money generators, so another tour was smart as well. They're currently insanely popular, it's a good way to retain their relevance (looking at you, jype) I'm curious because a lot of people get mad when their faves are overworked but also don't like waiting more than 6 months between each comeback. If you had to choose ONE: Do you guys think it's better to have comebacks 2/3 months between eachother or comebacks with a longer period of 7/8 months between them? submitted by /u/Gold_Meaning3688 [link] [comments]
Treasure is coming back today at 6PM KST, with their 3rd mini album (yes only 3rd in 5 years) but this is the first time in recent K-pop history that a group releasing an album has NO MV TEASER. Only a few badly made posters....seems like there may not even be the usually comeback livestream. On top of that, the album photos don’t even match the song or theme. It feels so disconnected and random. What exactly is going on?? At this point, it’s not even neglect it feels like sabotage, Why is a rich big 4 company, handling things like this… unless it’s intentional? YG is obsessed with himself, and I know people always say he always favored boy groups but I’ve always felt like he disliked Treasure because they aren’t entirely his creation since he stepped down during their early years. Ever since he came back, all he’s done is put them on a 1.5-year hiatus with no album, then one album with bare minimum promo....and endless japan tour and merch. It’s especially frustrating considering that YG literally threatened fans during that recent announcement video. Thoughts? am I over reacting? YG has been bad at promoting but this feels like a new level..... submitted by /u/saltybitterblob [link] [comments]
I’m honestly so glad they leaned into a Japanese citypop direction, and they actually showcased a lot more vocals in this song I love ittt submitted by /u/Nekobbyy [link] [comments]

Heyy Before you cancel me: I’m a stay and I just wanted to talk about how skz‘s mv style has changed in their latest music videos. This is just my personal opinion, and I’m not here to hate on skz by any means, I still love them and this is just some stuff I observed and wanted to have other peoples opinions on! Alright, so what I’ve been noticing lately is that stray kids mv’s are really really into a lot of extra effects and also lots of cgi! (I think the biggest examples would be Giant, ceremony and now bleep) For some people this is a good thing, and for others it can be a bit off putting! personally I feel like the balance between cool video effects and cgi has been a bit too much and outweighed the rest of the clips in the mv’s. It’s kinda of hard to focus on the members when there’s so much going on! I feel like ceremony did get away with it pretty well, but videos like giant and bleep were a bit too overwhelming where I felt like I was seeing more cgi and effects than the actual idols (especially cgi!). Did you guys also notice this, and what do you think about it? I feel like it’s good that they are experimenting with their mv’s and trying out new things but sometimes it’s just too overwhelming or somethings the cgi just looks funnyy Im still gonna support them as I love their music, and the mv’s are still cool and have really awesome transitions (bleeps transitions are so cool!!) and that’s it, thank you for reading! Their hard work is really showing and I hope they get the rest they need ❤️ submitted by /u/DefNotLix [link] [comments]
