Why is it so hard for some people to respect boundaries?
So in the video mark from nct was in a fancall and the fan asked him to basically show his body and he basically said no. I don't understand what was so hard for them to understand about that. I swear some idols have to go through fans making uncomfortable requests on fancalls all the time. It's happend so many times now (I've also seen loads of weird requests vernon from seventeen gets) and I highly doubt these fans would say these things face to face or in a normal conversation. I really don't understand what's so hard about respecting someone's boundaries... submitted by /u/baldism [link] [comments]

1.597. Does your favorite group make your favorite music?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Maybe this is a silly question but I feel like this is something unique to Kpop. We get so much content of idols lives whether it’s lives or the various shows and games on YouTube channels they participate in. We engage with them and really get a look at their personalities. I’ve noticed the groups I watch the most content for and “Stan” the most isn’t necessarily who I listen to the most. I am undoubtedly a proud Glitt Uncle. If anyone asked me my favorite group without hesitation I’d say ILLIT. But if I look at my listening stats on Apple Music I listen to Twice more than any other group and Le Sserafim next. Some of that could simply be they have made far more music. But I think in a lot of cases I like the songs more in general. But if I were to rank them I’d still put ILLIT first then LSF then Twice. This absolutely the only genre of music that would be the case for me. Curious on everyone’s take on this, if I am asking something crazy or if ppl have similar experiences. submitted by /u/csaporita [link] [comments]

1.598. Kguesser: guess the MV of the day

  • reddit.com language

Hi! We often play with my friends to all the online "daily challenge" games but we realized that we cannot find a good Kpop dedicated one. So I took some of my free time and made this: kguesser.com One MV per day and only 5 hints to guess the song title! It's quite simple for now but some of my friends have been testing it for a few days and it works well! You don't need any account or stuff like that, I just want it to be fun to play. I would love to have feedback on how I could improve it and just know if you actually enjoy playing it! submitted by /u/TheNafu [link] [comments]

1.599. I wonder if cravity has paid off all their trainee debt

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

After 5 years in the music and being a Stan since debut, I can’t stop but wonder if cravity already paid off their trainee debt and are finally making money. With how much their debt cost and selling about 200,000+ album copies every comeback since debut. Is it likely to say that they are making money now. I don’t see starship focusing on them touring more overseas which kinda sucks because that’s also a way to bring a huge sum of income in. But they have pretty good album sales which brings in millions every comeback. Not sure where else their incomes would come from tho. submitted by /u/SadRazzmatazz3563 [link] [comments]

1.600. Where is Choi Bomin? He was once considered the next-gen male lead.

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’ve been thinking about Choi Bomin lately. A few years ago, he was everywhere charming on music shows, acting in dramas, modeling, and being called one of the most promising next-gen male leads. His visuals, charisma, and calm aura really stood out. He had that “it” factor that made people believe he’d soon dominate the next wave of K-drama and K-pop crossovers. But after his unfortunate golf accident and the facial injury, things haven’t been the same. His group Golden Child slowly lost momentum, and eventually he left Woollim. I know he’s now signed under GLXY Talent and Universal Records Philippines, and he did a short “This or That” video recently, but overall, it feels like he completely disappeared from the spotlight. Meanwhile, we’re seeing other male leads of his generation slowly and steadily shine actors like Ryeoun, Kim Yo-han, Son Sang-yeon, and even younger ones making headlines with lead roles. But Bomin, who was once at the front of that line, seems to have faded quietly. It just makes me wonder what happened? Was it the injury, a shift in priorities, lack of support, or something else entirely? He had such a spark and presence that’s really hard to find. I hope he’s doing okay and that he makes a comeback, whether in acting or music. He still has so much untapped potential. 1.603. I’m so tired of the short amount of time between announcing a concert and when the tickets go on sale.

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

(There isn’t a “concert” flair so I hope this flair works.) This thought most recently came up for me with fromis_9’s concert announcement. They announced the concert on June 30, and the ticket sales are going to be on July 3? That’s not enough time for anyone to be prepared to drop X amount of money unless they’ve already factored it in. At least give us a week to prepare for the ticket drop! They also didn’t give more information until today (I think) about pricing for VIP so it’s like, even if I could try to scramble money for July 3, I don’t even know how much. Obviously, this isn’t the only company or group that has a short time. The last concert I wanted to go to was KIOF’s last year, and their announcement and ticket drop date was about ten days which is better but still not great. (I wasn’t able to go to this concert either due to the lack of time to save money in between and my location got sold out.) I’ve seen people say companies due this because people will pay for FOMO, but I’m too old to be paying for FOMO. I have bills and a family to take care of. I’d gladly drop money for a concert if I had time to budget for it. I’m just really disappointed I may miss out on one of my ults just because I didn’t save for a concert I didn’t know was upcoming 🙃. submitted by /u/kuhteen [link] [comments]

1.604. Halfway through the year - Best Songs So Far?

Halfway through the year, do you have any personal favorite releases this year? I’ve been in a bit of a slump this year. (Setting too high expectations for songs based on MV teasers/concept photos + current releases/trends not aligning with my taste) I haven’t “loved” any releases but am still enjoying new music. I have a few songs below, in alphabetical order, that are standouts for me. ARTMS - Icarus Chuu - Kiss a kitty Fromis_9 - LIKE YOU BETTER GOT7 - PYTHON H1-KEY - Summer Was You i-dle - Girlfriend ILLIT - little monster J-Hope - MONA LISA KAI - Walls Don't Talk KiiiKiii - GROUNDWORK MEOVV - DROP TOP Shin Jiyoon - Did You Love Me? submitted by /u/ButterflyMinute9605 [link] [comments]

I would like to know what kind of shape or style you want to see more often in lightsticks since it is always the typical lighthouse with a ball, it is not bad but it is already boring (I say this as a BTS Army) but I would like to know what you would like to see again in a K-pop lightstick, do not be afraid, let your imagination run wild hehe. submitted by /u/Legitimate_Photo_867 [link] [comments]

1.610. Freebies at kpop concerts, I don’t know what to expect

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I would love to hear about your experiences and any advice you have about giving freebies at kpop concerts. I’ll be going to the Stray Kids concert at the end of the month, and for the occasion, I’ve prepared some freebies. (the link is on the comments) They’re not many, just enough to be manageable, since this will be my first time giving out freebies at a concert. Being shy and anxious already, I’m a little nervous about it. I’ve heard many stories from people most of them positive but also some negative experiences. For example, some people refuse freebies of certain members, or there can be some rude behavior from others. I know these cases aren’t the majority, and I shouldn’t take them personally, but it still makes me a bit worried. Luckily, I’ve already connected with another girl who I am pretty sure will also be giving freebies, and I hope we can meet up so we can hand out freebies together. I think that would give me a lot more confidence, but of course, it will depend on the circumstances. My plan was to give out the freebies randomly since I don’t have many and want to avoid ending up with too many of certain members, but I’ll have to see if I can actually stick to that. submitted by /u/ForceApprehensive597 [link] [comments]

1.611. What concepts would you like to see in Kpop groups?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi, I'd like to know what ideas you have for K-pop groups, both female, male, and co-ed Can you tell us the genre you'd like to hear more of, the style, the composition, anything you want to see but don't see much (or at all) in the K-pop industry? You can also tell us a lineup of members that isn't common for you. Be creative and let your imagination run wild. Feel like a creative director creating a group for an agency (I'm really excited to read your comments, haha). submitted by /u/Legitimate_Photo_867 [link] [comments]

1.613. What are the weirdest sexy games that idols play on entertainment shows that everyone on the show just kind of pretends is totally normal?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I watch a lot of Stray Kids content, and every now and then in either their own content or on some sort of entertainment shoe, they'll play some sort of sexually charged game. Often everyone kind of winks at it, they know what they're doing. But it's still kind of funny to me sometimes just how much they kind of play in the pretence that the game is TOTALLY NORMAL and NOT AT ALL sexual, especially because a lot of the time it's in ostensibly all ages content. My favourite example is Thigh Wrestling 😂. They often dress it up like "oh, we're seeing who is the strongest!" But like... it's young men trying to force each other's legs open. It's almost egregious. Of course there's the peppero game. Most of the time its kind of treated as a bit naughty, a bit of fan service, yes. But its still aimed at a relatively younger audience, and it always catches me by surprise how much they just wink/nudge away the fact that there are two beautiful young men basically simulating a kiss. Like. 😳😳 I'm not complaining, not at all 😊 I just find the juxtaposition you get sometimes to be genuinely funny. submitted by /u/WideCaptainEvenine [link] [comments]

1.614. I haven't been THIS excited about BTS news in a long time

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I WANNA PREFACE THIS THAT THIS IS A POSITIVE POST!! I will have some minor complaints but I love the boys, have for a while now, and no matter what I say on here that hasn't changed. So I'm sure we've all seen the recent news that the boys are planning a full-group comeback in spring of next year, and as an ARMY who's been around since the start of 2018: I couldn't be more excited. Now, I do like their english releases, however I'm sure I'm not the only ARMY who's felt a little underwhelmed that the last proper new album we got that wasn't a solo project or a rerelease was BE (not to shade BE though that album is PHENOMENAL). Were their solos, the singles and rereleases good and fun? Yes! But considering that ARMYs who joined after BUTTER'S release haven't yet experienced a full group comeback with an entirely new album of songs, it made me realize just how long it's been. Obviously this was inevitable considering their mandatory service, so don't think this is me saying "boohoo the boys aren't who they used to be they used to be so much better" or whatever lmao. And they've released some amazing solo work that shows me they still have it! I do kinda hope whatever they make will be a slight return to form in terms of stuff like lore, but ik that's not a guarantee and moreso a personal wish of mine lol. I still remember my first full-group comeback being w/ love yourself tear, and that was such an exciting release (and still one of their best albums imo) so I'm glad a lot of newer ARMYs are going to finally get that magical moment! submitted by /u/Xx_KAT_xX [link] [comments]
