Lately Iāve been wondering how much of what idols wear off stage is really their own choice, like in casual vlog outfits, behind-the-scenes clips or during sound checks. Obviously, for official stages, red carpets (and airport fashion at times) itās the stylists, but when it comes to their āpersonalā clothes⦠is it truly 100% their own style? Take Stray Kids for example, especially Hyunjin and I.N. They often wear super super niche vintage t-shirts, rare streetwear brands, or even old band tees that are really specific and very hard to find. It made me wonder: are they actually going out and sourcing those themselves? Or is it more likely that theyāre picking from a shared stylist closet or curated rack they can pick from? and maybe keeping the pieces they really like? I noticed at one point I.N wore a shirt that Hyunjin had already worn weeks before in a different setting, so that made me think there could be a pool of clothes that members rotate through, especially those rare vintage finds. And maybe if a member really likes something, they can buy it or get assigned to it⦠I donāt mean to say idols donāt have any say, I think they absolutely do buy whatever they want. But maybe they choose to let stylists guide them, because it fits with the image they want to maintain or the groupās overall branding What do you guys think? Do you believe idols are fully choosing their off-stage fits? Or do you also think thereās a shared stylist inventory + curated image even when it looks casual? Would love to hear your thoughts or any examples youāve noticed! submitted by /u/Asleephgtd [link] [comments]
G-Dragon ubermensch tonight!!! this might be a really silly question, but honestly i've never been to a kpop concert before so i was wondering, would bringing my penlights make me stick out like a sore thumb? buying his official lightstick is out of the budget and i don't have any other kpop/related lightsticks to bring. i have 2 kingblade penlights that i bring to jp concerts, but is that weird or worse disrespectful at all for this event? š this probably sounds dumb asf but im stressing lol. any concert etiquette advice appreciated š submitted by /u/justiceformafuyusato [link] [comments]
Many believe that when groups begin to gain fame in the West, they lose their musical style in order to maintain that fame, but how true is that? Do you think groups that gained fame in the West continue to grow while maintaining their musical identity, regardless of criticism? Or do you think they've lost it but have become more popular with audiences? submitted by /u/Someonehihi [link] [comments]

Maybe this is a silly question but I feel like this is something unique to Kpop. We get so much content of idols lives whether itās lives or the various shows and games on YouTube channels they participate in. We engage with them and really get a look at their personalities. Iāve noticed the groups I watch the most content for and āStanā the most isnāt necessarily who I listen to the most. I am undoubtedly a proud Glitt Uncle. If anyone asked me my favorite group without hesitation Iād say ILLIT. But if I look at my listening stats on Apple Music I listen to Twice more than any other group and Le Sserafim next. Some of that could simply be they have made far more music. But I think in a lot of cases I like the songs more in general. But if I were to rank them Iād still put ILLIT first then LSF then Twice. This absolutely the only genre of music that would be the case for me. Curious on everyoneās take on this, if I am asking something crazy or if ppl have similar experiences. submitted by /u/csaporita [link] [comments]
Hi! We often play with my friends to all the online "daily challenge" games but we realized that we cannot find a good Kpop dedicated one. So I took some of my free time and made this: kguesser.com One MV per day and only 5 hints to guess the song title! It's quite simple for now but some of my friends have been testing it for a few days and it works well! You don't need any account or stuff like that, I just want it to be fun to play. I would love to have feedback on how I could improve it and just know if you actually enjoy playing it! submitted by /u/TheNafu [link] [comments]
After 5 years in the music and being a Stan since debut, I canāt stop but wonder if cravity already paid off their trainee debt and are finally making money. With how much their debt cost and selling about 200,000+ album copies every comeback since debut. Is it likely to say that they are making money now. I donāt see starship focusing on them touring more overseas which kinda sucks because thatās also a way to bring a huge sum of income in. But they have pretty good album sales which brings in millions every comeback. Not sure where else their incomes would come from tho. submitted by /u/SadRazzmatazz3563 [link] [comments]
Iāve been thinking about Choi Bomin lately. A few years ago, he was everywhere charming on music shows, acting in dramas, modeling, and being called one of the most promising next-gen male leads. His visuals, charisma, and calm aura really stood out. He had that āitā factor that made people believe heād soon dominate the next wave of K-drama and K-pop crossovers. But after his unfortunate golf accident and the facial injury, things havenāt been the same. His group Golden Child slowly lost momentum, and eventually he left Woollim. I know heās now signed under GLXY Talent and Universal Records Philippines, and he did a short āThis or Thatā video recently, but overall, it feels like he completely disappeared from the spotlight. Meanwhile, weāre seeing other male leads of his generation slowly and steadily shine actors like Ryeoun, Kim Yo-han, Son Sang-yeon, and even younger ones making headlines with lead roles. But Bomin, who was once at the front of that line, seems to have faded quietly. It just makes me wonder what happened? Was it the injury, a shift in priorities, lack of support, or something else entirely? He had such a spark and presence thatās really hard to find. I hope heās doing okay and that he makes a comeback, whether in acting or music. He still has so much untapped potential. Anyone have updates or thoughts? submitted by /u/Renebae1991 [link] [comments]

(There isnāt a āconcertā flair so I hope this flair works.) This thought most recently came up for me with fromis_9ās concert announcement. They announced the concert on June 30, and the ticket sales are going to be on July 3? Thatās not enough time for anyone to be prepared to drop X amount of money unless theyāve already factored it in. At least give us a week to prepare for the ticket drop! They also didnāt give more information until today (I think) about pricing for VIP so itās like, even if I could try to scramble money for July 3, I donāt even know how much. Obviously, this isnāt the only company or group that has a short time. The last concert I wanted to go to was KIOFās last year, and their announcement and ticket drop date was about ten days which is better but still not great. (I wasnāt able to go to this concert either due to the lack of time to save money in between and my location got sold out.) Iāve seen people say companies due this because people will pay for FOMO, but Iām too old to be paying for FOMO. I have bills and a family to take care of. Iād gladly drop money for a concert if I had time to budget for it. Iām just really disappointed I may miss out on one of my ults just because I didnāt save for a concert I didnāt know was upcoming š. submitted by /u/kuhteen [link] [comments]
Halfway through the year, do you have any personal favorite releases this year? Iāve been in a bit of a slump this year. (Setting too high expectations for songs based on MV teasers/concept photos + current releases/trends not aligning with my taste) I havenāt ālovedā any releases but am still enjoying new music. I have a few songs below, in alphabetical order, that are standouts for me. ARTMS - Icarus Chuu - Kiss a kitty Fromis_9 - LIKE YOU BETTER GOT7 - PYTHON H1-KEY - Summer Was You i-dle - Girlfriend ILLIT - little monster J-Hope - MONA LISA KAI - Walls Don't Talk KiiiKiii - GROUNDWORK MEOVV - DROP TOP Shin Jiyoon - Did You Love Me? submitted by /u/ButterflyMinute9605 [link] [comments]
I would like to know what kind of shape or style you want to see more often in lightsticks since it is always the typical lighthouse with a ball, it is not bad but it is already boring (I say this as a BTS Army) but I would like to know what you would like to see again in a K-pop lightstick, do not be afraid, let your imagination run wild hehe. submitted by /u/Legitimate_Photo_867 [link] [comments]
So in the video mark from nct was in a fancall and the fan asked him to basically show his body and he basically said no. I don't understand what was so hard for them to understand about that. I swear some idols have to go through fans making uncomfortable requests on fancalls all the time. It's happend so many times now (I've also seen loads of weird requests vernon from seventeen gets) and I highly doubt these fans would say these things face to face or in a normal conversation. I really don't understand what's so hard about respecting someone's boundaries... submitted by /u/baldism [link] [comments]
Been wondering this recently and wanted to ask the community here :) What would you like to see more of, less of or improved on? More variety, authenticity, less over the top reaction or more over the top reactions? Funny bits or do you like the current reaction style format? I would love to hear about your experiences and any advice you have about giving freebies at kpop concerts. Iāll be going to the Stray Kids concert at the end of the month, and for the occasion, Iāve prepared some freebies. (the link is on the comments) Theyāre not many, just enough to be manageable, since this will be my first time giving out freebies at a concert. Being shy and anxious already, Iām a little nervous about it. Iāve heard many stories from people most of them positive but also some negative experiences. For example, some people refuse freebies of certain members, or there can be some rude behavior from others. I know these cases arenāt the majority, and I shouldnāt take them personally, but it still makes me a bit worried. Luckily, Iāve already connected with another girl who I am pretty sure will also be giving freebies, and I hope we can meet up so we can hand out freebies together. I think that would give me a lot more confidence, but of course, it will depend on the circumstances. My plan was to give out the freebies randomly since I donāt have many and want to avoid ending up with too many of certain members, but Iāll have to see if I can actually stick to that. submitted by /u/ForceApprehensive597 [link] [comments]
Hi, I'd like to know what ideas you have for K-pop groups, both female, male, and co-ed Can you tell us the genre you'd like to hear more of, the style, the composition, anything you want to see but don't see much (or at all) in the K-pop industry? You can also tell us a lineup of members that isn't common for you. Be creative and let your imagination run wild. Feel like a creative director creating a group for an agency (I'm really excited to read your comments, haha). submitted by /u/Legitimate_Photo_867 [link] [comments]
