Following Jungkook's discharge from the military a little over a month ago, a lot of people have been anticipating his frequent return to social media, and his sporadic yet fun livestreams. However, "fans" have been growing increasingly frustrated, going as far to say that's he's 'ignoring them' or acting 'distant' and 'depressed'. What in the parasocialism? Okay, first of all, he literally just got back from the military. Let that boy readjust to civilian life in whatever way he sees fit. Second of all, he's literally working on an album right now. That requires time and careful attention. I feel like a lot of these people who are having crash outs on TikTok and Twitter about Jungkook's absence are 2023+ BTS fans, because Jungkook has ALWAYS been the more inactive member. I remember we got maybe... four individual posts from Jungkook in 2019, and I think he only did one singular live stream in 2020... on YouTube. Other members often had to update us on him because of how quiet he was online. He would be active in a group setting, sure, but getting a solo live or post from him was always a treat because of how rare it was. But he was set to enlist in 2023 and said he wanted to spend more time with us, so naturally he did over 32+ lives and posted frequently on Weverse. I just feel so bad for Jungkook... I wish people would stop being so weird about him all the time. He seriously has some of the worst solo fans because they constantly insult him too, saying he's forced to do 90% of the things he willingly chooses to do himself. Once upon a time, people actually discussed things. Humans used their brains instead of just SPEWING ABSOLUTE FUCKING NONSENSE. You’d go into a BTS MV comment section in 2018 and actually find some theories about different aspects of the mv and even some really fucking unhinged comments thirsting over someone's eyebrows . There were psychological breakdowns of lyrics, references to HYYH storyline continuity, and random stuff like that But now its an annoying place filled with of rotting streaming goals and copy-paste brainlessness. Every third comment is just “Who’s here in 2025? 🫶💜” like congratulations, you are in fact here in 2025. Would you like an award for your groundbreaking contribution to humanity? “Be yourself because yourself is yourself.” or "You're not ugly, it's society blah blah"– Kim Namjoon probably (no, he didn’t say that, Susan, he has an IQ of 148, he forms actual sentences and its funny how its always namjoon lmao). Or the tragic motivational comment: “If you’re sad, eat ice cream 🍦 BTS loves you 💜 like if agree.” Thank you,I was considering existential collapse until your ice cream emoji cured me and liking your comment has increased my goddamn lifespan Scrolling through the comments is just getting so futile because in the end i only find“STREAM GOAL: 1B BY NEXT MONTH LET’S GO ARMY 💜💪” floating around. No one discusses symbolism, narrative links, choreography intention, or music production layers anymore because apparently it’s all about mindlessly hammering replay to fulfil a streaming quota that absolutely nobody outside the fandom cares about. And I get the fact that streaming is important and it's business and they actually care about being famous but bro, it's tiring, i wish we had like websites which kept streaming goals cuz the comment section is so tiring And the worst part is the delusion. These comments genuinely think they are achieving something noble by suffocating the entire section with carbon copy goals and “2025 anyone??” as if anyone cares that you, a random user, are alive right now. As someone who's been with fromis_9 for five years of their career, I have to say. When you experience these changes once at a time (agency change or members leaving), they don't seem that significant. But when you really look back, it's like, wtf... what on earth happened for fromis_9 to have this rocky of a journey lol? Like, losing Gyuri in 2022 was already bad. She was the most popular member of the group then and it was their first career peak. But then, combined with leaving PLYBE, Saerom, Jisun and Seoyeon departed from the group. And we're not even getting into how fromis was fighting with the agency just for their own name. And we're not even getting into the agency changes. When Off The Record disbanded and became Wakeone, fromis_9 wasn't on the agency lineup at first, which was worrying as hell. Then, they moved to Pledis. Probably one of the worst years of their career, but they became very popular then. And now they signed with ASND. So far, ASND seems to be an amazing company. So, I have some hopes they're finally in a stable work environment. I feel like the craziest part throughout all of this, is that they're still growing in popularity. Supersonic is still in the top 100 of every charts a year later, Like You Better is already breaking Supersonic's records and they're becoming one of the most popular girl groups in Korea right now. Earlier, in the year the news broke that MBC AI SURVIVAL SHOW A-IDOL will be happening in the first half of 2025. AI-based K-pop audition program which features LODIA-I, an AI audition producer, to provide "fair evaluations and feedback" on the singing, dancing, style of 36 idols and reassemble the best idol teams. The six groups participating in the show are considered "groups who lost their shine" - still think this line is way out of pocket. But we were going to get ICHILLIN, CSR, WOOAH, PURPLE KISS, LIGHTSUM Cube Entertainment and DreamNote, all on the show. However, it is the 2nd half of 2025 and there is no updates or news regarding it. So does anyone know what happened? Was there a statement released? Because it seemed like several episodes if not all were filmed? And the show A-IDOL won the Minister of Science and Technology Award. Title says it all, I can’t believe there are still vlights asking for a comeback after all of this. It’s like kpop fans have the memory of a goldfish. Have we not forgotten what KG accused JYPE of and the evidence her and her legal team put forward? Keeping water from the girls after dance practice forcing KG to practice the same move over and over again until she was injured the cameras in their dorms monitoring what they ate…without their knowledge the completely demoralized text messages between the members saying they felt like they had no personality and not liking their music, wanting to leave the group and the same blocked out person claiming the other members wanted to leave too and that KG did the right thing The “”dieting”” straight out of edtwt and one of the staff members calling eating disorders normal Trapping the girls in half a million dollars on debt and paying them 500 dollars weekly. (In California, minimum wage for minors is 10.50 an hour) Making them work past the legal limit for minors Literally trying to alter their personality’s. Look it up, it’s in the contract. It’s fucking dystopian The colorism: not allowing their skin to change color under normal amounts of sun exposure etc. Especially concerning since theres a black woman in the group and in official media she’s been extremely whitewashed. Also in the contract I can’t believe there are people willing to support a comeback or a rebrand for these girls. (Which is like putting a bandaid on a cracked fish tank) With everyone playing creative director about what direction Vcha should go in, has anyone asked the members? What music do THEY wanna make, what concept do THEY like. These are people, not products. JYPE needs to just free these girls from these horrible contracts and let them go. If they want, they can reform independently under a new name. The reputation of the group at least in the US is tarnished by the mistreatment. The brand is far more well known for what JYPE put them through than any of their actual music. The A2k project was a fucking failure in many ways creatively but most importantly in how JYPE abused and failed these girls. Of course there are many award shows with different criterias. Since their debut did well in Korea there is a possibility they win ROTY but which ROTY will they win, female or male? I think majority of award shows have both categories so will they combine the categories.
