(Controversial take) nmixx should be the leader of 4th gen if people really care about vocal and performance or stage presence

I've always seen people complaining about this group have great vocals but mostly lipsing plus lack stage presence and need a back up dancers to deliver a good performance. And this group have great stage presence and don't need a back up dancers but have a weak/mediocre vocals. Then the answer to all those complains are nmixx because they have both of those things that people crave so much in a group. So why people didn't stan them and make them the 4th gen leader and one of the biggest group in kpop?? It's because they don't really care about any of those things, AS long as a group have catchy songs and goddess visuals that's all That matter submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]

15.765. A quick note about the generalization rule

  • 2 years ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

The subreddit is mostly uncensored as long as people follow the rules. Generalizing statement about Korea, Korean society, etc or most other countries are not acceptable except under the following standards: The only claims that are acceptable when generalizing Korean society in this sub are those that bring up generalizable stastical claims by the standards of the international statistics institute. Not only do the vast majority of stastistics you can find on the internet about Korea not up to this minimum, basic standard but this requirement includes having ample sample size, blocking by relevant demographics and sometimes even double blind tests. So if you make a generalizing claim, your wording must be properly formatted and links to the relevant studies provided. In other words, the standard for making a generalization is very high in this sub. Not to mention the wording for your claim has to be properly made. Anyone who has taken a college level statistics class will know what I am talking about and we may even require you to provide the confidence level interval if it's relevant for your study. If you cannot meet these standards, I would just avoid doing it in general. submitted by /u/Kpop_Love_Forever [link] [comments]

1. Have you ever met an akgae in real life?

  • 10 minutes ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

As we all know, akgaes are very toxic groups of people. But ive always wondered how these people are in real life. And if they say the gross things they do online. I cant imagine akgaes are happy and normal people. Especially with the amount of delusion and gross behavior I've seen from them. Ive heard plenty of stories about meeting koreaboos, sasaengs, shippers and antis but no akgaes. And by akgaes, I mean the toxic people that hate all the members except the one they stan and believe they're being mistreated. So yeah, share your story if you have any, even if its a positive interaction with a normal solo stan (if they exist). Can be for any idol since they all move the same anyway. submitted by /u/Dull_Ad_2795 [link] [comments]

3. The obsession of hating/wanting others to hate on Katseye and Cortis

  • 51 minutes ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I broke it down for each group Katseye: Ok I’m actually getting real sick of seeing unnecessary hate, comparing, and rage baiting for katseye. It’s getting old, tired and giving jobless. No matter how many times eyekons and other fans do their best to not bring them up in kpop spaces or conversations..there’s also that one person who just ITCHES to bring them knowing that there are miserable kpop stans with giant insecurities that will jump on them at any given moment and it’s like yall have no common sense or can’t read the room to just not bring them up. Especially in those dumb ass “kpop opinion” post. I’m bringing them up now in a kpop space because I need answers from yall, especially those who dislike katseye. Now with XG, another global group, having their comeback, here’s goes the “Xg hAs BeTtEr MuSic ThAn KatSeYe” “Xg ShOulD Be aS BiG As KatsEye” like are we deadass?? There’s obvious reasons, but that isn’t KATSEYE’s fault and their name shouldn’t be within that conversation since they aren’t a part of the equation as to why xg isn’t as big as they should be. Why can’t we let two global groups with two different approaches, different concepts, different music styles, and based in two different countries where all of the members are young, beautiful and talented af coexist and be great together? Cortis: I’m sorry but the hate Cortis gets for no reason is a prime example of “the hate is forced” because HUH??? It fr be like a fan praised them for actually working with black creators and learning from them and be great at the craft in a post and here yall go with the negativity “CorTis isNt As FresH and OrgAniC aNd ThEyre BIg CoMpaNy PrIvIledgeD” like are we serious? Then I saw someone on twitter say that cortis deserve to win rookie group of the year and it’s like how bitter can you be to say this? Even with artists I don’t care for, I’ll never say shit like this and when if I thought it, why would I let the world know how deranged I am? It’s very obvious how hard working the boys are and how online they are and they’re all still young. Moral of the damn story, I don’t see the appeal to hop on the trend to hate on hybe groups that just debuted, yall give no type of grace to them but expect everyone to give grace to your full grown faves who know what they’re doing……anyways I digress. submitted by /u/Oneandonly_potato [link] [comments]

7. Fully stanning and probably fangirling over idol younger than me

  • reddit.com language

I know this topic probably was talked about but i just want to see if its really okey since i am really hesistant. So i know its dumb but i am 18 and female and recently the new girl group catched my eye Hearts2hearts and i really love them but its first time since i am older then 4 members and my favourite is ian which i am a bit more than 2 years older. I dont know if this is okey but i want to bias her and by that i mean also collecting her merch. I am in weird position bc usually i fangirl over kpop idols not in sexual way but still like admiring and being really invested so i am thinking if this is really a problem and if she would be weirded out about it (not like we will ever even meet lol) but just a thought that keeps me hesistant too fully stan what do you think? submitted by /u/Yuzuu0 [link] [comments]

12. My observation on Blackpink's branding and promotion by YG

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This post is not to glorigy YG's promotion. It is just my observation.I have seen many people bashing YG and how YG wasted their potential by givibg them limited comeback. But what I think that it was what YG intended.Blackpink was never the bubbly, girl next door group. Yg always wanted to potray them as elegent, high-end, classy polished celebrity, by limiting their visibility. They attended limited variety show and performed on limited music shows as compared to their peers.YG very particular about the Blackpink girl's event attendance. Also having comebacks after 1.5 or 2 years is common in western pop industry. So, why people claim that having limited cb means not promoted well. I think YG promoted Blackpink excatly the way they wanted the public to perceive the BP girls. submitted by /u/Due_Collection_3363 [link] [comments]

16. Most Active kpop group you know?

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I personally think TWS are extremely active...mabye I'm just saying that cause I'm deep into the 42 rabbit hole but there genuinely always up to something, they did not take that "24/7 with us" concept lightly. In less then 2 years they've had 3 mini albums, with a 4th one on the way, a Korean single, a Japanese debut, a Korean tour, a Japanese Tour, multiple Fancons, I'm so proud of them 🥲 They post new content practically every day, and don't get me started on Weverse, I fear Jungwon might have competition 🥀 ( jk i love him wholeheartedly ) submitted by /u/42_Yudoz [link] [comments]

17. If you're a K-pop/global pop idol, can you still go to college and pursue your undergrad studies?

  • 4 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Before I went to college in 2023, during my SHS years here in PH, I've been fantasizing about being a K-pop idol and nursing student. Stupid question but can you actually balance your time as an Idol/Artist and being a student nurse with ongoing clinical rotations, retdems, and exams while still able to perform on stage and do promotions? Lol Because I know some idols do still pursue college but those are like Marketing, music, or comms related, but having to pursue in something like med (nursing, medtech, med bio, PT) or stem heavy related (Comp sci, engi) still possible? submitted by /u/Alarmed_Pepper9665 [link] [comments]
